Today the Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed former Ohio State offensive lineman Reid Fragel from the waiver wire. Fragel was recently released by the Atlanta Falcons.

Could Shane Ray fall to the 3rd or 4th round?

Today on Mike and Mike, Mark Dominick the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager said that the recent citation of Shane Ray could drop him dramatically.

If he falls to the 3rd or 4th round, I will not understand the NFL.  I get that he is a very amazing player, but this kid was a top 10 pick just three days ago even with a turf toe.  Add in the fact that he smokes weed and all the sudden he could fall to the 4th round?  I don’t see it happening, but maybe that is why Mark Dominick is a FORMER general manager….

Sterling Moore has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and CB Sterling Moore have reached an agreement.

The #Bucs and versatile DB Sterling Moore have agreed to terms, source said. He visited them first in the process.

Moore took his first visit to Tampa Bay last week before later meeting with the 49ers and Steelers.

Moore, 25, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. He played for the Patriots before joining the Cowboys in 2012.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host Oregon QB Marcus Mariota on Monday

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host Oregon QB Marcus Mariota on Monday according to Rick Stroud.  The Buccaneers hold the first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and are expected to draft a quarterback.  The biggest problem the Buccaneers face is making the right decision.  Do you draft Jameis Winston who was already in town meeting with the Buccaneers officials, or Mariota who had a pretty rough pro day yesterday? Maybe Mariota will impress the Buccaneers on Monday enough to take him number 1 overall?

The Tennessee Titans would love to re-sign Derrick Morgan their standout pass rusher, but that might not happen. According to Rand Getlin, several teams are expressing interest in bringing in the former first round pick from Georgia Tech.

The Buccaneers are one team that has interest, and he could bring a valuable option to Lovie Smith’s defense. Morgan has 191 career tackles, 23 sacks, 18 pass deflections and 4 forced fumbles.

Jaguars, Buccaneers and Redskins all have interest in Packers O-Lineman Bryan Bulaga

Is Bryan Bulaga the offensive lineman from Green Bay worth 7.5 million dollars a season?  Well his camp is definitely shooting for that amount. According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Bulaga is seeking a contract that will pay him somewhere in the neighborhood of $7-8 million a season and that the Packers “have no intention” of giving Bulaga a contract in such a neighborhood.

Silverstein adds that the Jaguars, Buccaneers and Redskins have shown the most interest in Bulaga since the three-day “legal tampering” window opened on Saturday.

The Redskins might not be willing to pay that much according to Washington Post writer posted, saying the team did not want to pay more than 5 million a year for Derek Newton who re-signed with the Texans yesterday.

Buccaneers sign unrestricted free agent Luke Stocker

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed former fourth round pick Luke Stocker to a new deal, just 45 minutes before the Legal Tampering period begins at noon.

Stocker was selected in the fourth round, 104th overall, by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2011 NFL Draft and signed his contract worth four years on July 28, 2011. Stocker suffered his first injury on the first day he practiced, and was out for a few weeks recovering from a hip injury.
