Fondling was not part of the plan. He never thought that he would begin to think about the size of another hand over his or that he would blatantly count someone else's eyelashes. Or that he would like to sing a thousand kitsch on other people's lips, or that when listening to a song he would automatically think of the way his mouth drew a smile. And much less about the color of his hair against the sun, or how in love he was when he heard her beautiful voice. He didn't see himself doing those things; but hey, things tend to change from one moment to the next very quickly.

Iwaizumi Hajime used to never talking to girls about his feelings. And it wasn't because he didn't want to, but because everyone was watching his best friend, Oikawa. But not you, he begs every day that everyone but you.
"Haji, what's going on in your head?" your arms hugged his shoulders in a tentative way, smiling broadly against his neck. His skin bristles under your touch, "Everything okay?"
You, on the other hand, could only observe the ideal man. Hajime held your hand at all times, walked you from home to Seijoh, from Seijoh to home. He waited for you after practice and dedicated each of his spikes to you. He combed your hair with his fingers, he carried whenever you asked him to. Helping you with the stupid homework you forgot to do. All for you. Only you.
Inside his head, there are a million reasons why you would quit. Among them are: Oikawa is better. Oikawa's hair is not beaked. Oikawa's voice is sweeter. Oikawa is taller. Oikawa. Oikawa. Oikawa.
He doesn't know the reason why he felt inferior to his best friend, maybe it was the nerves of losing you, maybe it was his own insecurities, or he was just being paranoid. But whatever it was, it was clear that it strained his whole armor and heart.
"Y / N" he whispered, watching how your eyes went to his. That look so precious, so beautiful, so his. His hands gently cup your cheeks before planting a soft, loving kiss from his parched lips over yours. In the kiss, a sigh slips through his mouth, "Don’t go"
Oh, yes. He loves you. So much. He loves entirely you, all your flaws, all your bad habits, all the slanders you make. How could not be in love with you, when you are all his reasons to smile? There is nothing purer than the feeling of having you as the person who stays by his side no matter what; no matter the distance or the time, he belongs completely by your side.
He breathes in your essence, “Can you stay…, for a few hours more?” murmuring, he kisses you again.
You humming accepts, enrolling your arms around him even tighter.
“Of course, my Ace. Why wouldn’t I stay a bit longer for you, uhm? You want me to stay the night?” running your lips down his cheek to his jaw, caressing his spiky hair and whispering soft words in his hear, “I will leave your side”
“Please, don’t go. Stay by my side. Always”
People often think that Hajime doesn’t have a soft and emphatic side, but he was just a fit teddy bear in need of attention and love; and it’s everything for you, he only loves you.

Yes. Fall in love was never part of the plan, but he was so glad to have the most wonderful, amazing, beautiful women at his side, and deep he knew, that it didn’t matter what his demons tried to say inside his head, she only loves him, and he only loves her.
