Mingyu found himself sitting down on the bench that had been readily available for someone to sit and it being his day of, Mingyu had decided that he was going to take full advantage of said spot. Especially since no one else was around the particular area he was in... yet. Mingyu had his sketchbook and a pencil in hand, bag sitting by his side as he let it sit open. A coffee perched on the arm rest of the bench next to him as he began to draw the scene around him. Landscape art was not exactly his favorite to do, but his teachers had always told him that he had to keep his skills strong and doing the kind of art he didnât want to do would only prove to strengthen them. He was so concentrated that he didnât realize his bag was most definitely in the way, making it impossible for someone to sit down until he saw a pair of feet over the top of his sketchbook, causing his to glance up. âOh-- shoot-- Iâm so sorry..â He said in his thick, Korean accent and quickly moved his bag. âIâm so sorry... I should be much more conscious of what I am doing...â

keep in mind that he was vv exhausted and stressed bc he tried to surpass his junior to whom he felt inferior. he realized way too soon that he could never be as good as kags no matter how hard he tries
and when kageyama casually walked up to oikawa and asked him to teach him a jump serve (?), something snapped in oikawaâs mind. he must have thought that kags was trying to mock him in some way bc oikawa is trying his best to become better but someone like kageyama would put all the time oikawa practied to naught.
imagine how stressed you must be that no matter how much time you put into something, someone else will be able to surpass you in no time with less effort than you. obviously, what oikawa tried was not okay but he was only fifteen and constantly seeking ways to be one step ahead of kageyama
