I’d never shame anybody else for not knowing how to drive, it’s fine if you can’t/dont want to, but I am just so so self-conscious.

I am so so scared of driving it’s embarrassing to me. all of my friends can drive but I don’t have my license because im too scared to get behind the wheel. i know about exposure therapy or what have you, and that the only way to get over a fear is to face it head on, and that you need to do things scared, etc, but the thought of actually driving is so awful to me. i wake up with tummy aches from anxiety when I know it’s a day where I’ll be practicing driving. I’ve had breakdowns because im scared of practicing. and unfortunately I live in a city where walking places and public transport isn’t that much of an option 😭

again, I’ve heard, over and over, do it scared, and i understand that, but does anyone know any ways to make it at least a little easier 😭😭😭
