So there’s this cute plush I kinda want, which I thought was a buffalo (I was picturing a NA bison), but it’s actually a musk oxen apparently. All of this of course made me think of Jingyan, and then I’m thinking wait what kind of buffalo is a water buffalo anyway and why is it called that. Turns out it’s not a bison (which is called a buffalo even though it’s not technically), which makes sense because China, so it’s the Asian one. And they are in the category of true buffaloes, which is included on a broader catagory called…BUBALINA!!
