To Save a Life - Chapter 4
Luna:
I scream as I fall out of the window and grunt when I come to a landing. The man's grip on your waist is too strong for you to get away from. Suddenly, a black bag is placed over my head, and your vision is cut off. I am pushed into a car and told to be quiet. My wrists are soon tied behind my back making the ride uncomfortable. I try to memorize how many turns and direction I am heading, but we take too many for me to keep count. Soon the car comes to a stop and I hear the door open. Someone grabs my arms and hauls me out of the car. "Where do I take her?" a deep voice asks. "Inside," a softer one answers, it almost seems like a female one. I am dragged "inside" as I hear a door open and close, then I am thrown to the floor. I curl up on my side once I'm thrown as I don't know what will happen. I hear a pair of footsteps pacing outside my room making me more scared of what will happen. The door squeaks open catching my attention as I listen to someone walk in. My heart sinks as I hear the lock click. The black bag is suddenly ripped off of my head and I try to blink away the bright light. Because of the bright light you don't even register that there is a man crouched in front of me. Once I do see him, I try to shuffle back away from him, but it fails causing him to laugh at my attempt. "Wh-what do you want?" I stutter trying to make out his face. "Why did Yoongi marry you?" the man asks looking blankly at you un- amused by my fear. "O-o-out of love?" I mumble afraid of his reaction. "No, it was not out of love," the man scoffs at you. Don't let him into your head Luna I tell myself. "Out of all the girls, why did Yoongi choose you? There's nothing special about you, you have no talents, no body, and no personality. You are plain. It's discussing," he says as he glares at you. I look away. Why did he choose me? I ponder thinking back to the day I met Yoongi--- I sit in the café near the window as I blankly look out at the cars passing by. My hot chocolate sits untouched as I finger the handle. 'I wish she was here,' I think to myself. This café was her favorite. "Is this seat taken?" a voice pulls you back to reality. Looking up I see a pale, skinny, green haired man looking down at me. Shaking your head, you go back to looking out the window as you don't want to be disturbed. "I'm Min Yoongi, but you can call me Suga." He says taking a small sip of his coffee looking down at you from the edge of his mug. I don't answer but slightly nod to let him know I understand. "Is- Is there something wrong?" he asks quietly. "I mean if it's me, I can leave, because you look kind of distant," You look at him, eyes filled with pain, "what would you know, why do you even care? You are a stranger." I snap as I start to get up. "I know why you're upset," he says lowly causing you to freeze. "No, you don't," I reply angry at him for trying to assume my pain. "It's about Andromeda isn't it," He says. Turning around to face him I ask, "How would you know anything about her?" "Let's just say we were sort of...friends," he explains. He then gestures to the chair silently requesting sit again. Slowly I take the seat again. "You want to know what happened to her right?" he asks. Making eye contact with him, I nod, noticing pain in his eyes before it disappears. He shakes his head as I continue. "She was, um, killed...in a fall," you tell him mournfully. "It sounds like you need a friend," he says cocking his head to the side. "Why would I friend a stranger?" I reply glaring at him. He says as he leans forward placing his hands on yours, "Because I'm not a stranger," he says softly. --- I stare at the blank wall as the man paces around me continuing with his conversation, "...so, what is Suga's story?" I myself have no idea what he does or how he got to be there. "Wouldn't you like to know?" the man asks pausing to look at me. Slowly I nod my head. "Alright, if you want to know, I'll tell you. One night as Suga walked home from "work" he heard a girl scream. Going to investigate, he saw that she was being physically attacked by a gang. Known around the town, Suga's reputation preceded him, and the attackers fled from the girl, assuming she was his girlfriend. A few nights later Suga ran into the same girl from the ally. Apparently she had been in a gang and the other gang tried to get information from her. In order to protect herself, she decided to join Suga's gang that he was in, and she grew stronger. A few months passed and they grew together as well as looked out for each other. They went on missions together and one day proved to be fatal for one of them. Suga was hunting a man who had done his gang wrong and betrayed them. The two, Suga and the girl decided to pair up and hunt him. It turned out that the man that they were hunting was an expert assassin. As they were fighting each other the girl ended up dying from being pushed off of abandoned building." "Pushed off a bui-," the sudden realization hits me. "No," I say to myself. "Suga was shocked and heartbroken," the man continues, "over the time that he had met her, he had fallen in love with the girl. He began to realize that although in different ways, all their targets were dying like that, and he decided to leave his group. The shocking thing is that Andromeda worked with Suga, who worked for the Mafia." The man finishes looking at me dead in the eye. My eyes widen. The Mafia?! My Suga is working for the Mafia?! "No, no, Suga would never do something like that!" I protest, although I know it is most likely true due to his bloodied state when he comes home. The thought sickens me. I stare at the ground at I try to process the information. The man walks past me and says to a guard to let me go. My hands are unbound and I am lead out of the building, dropping me off at a corner then disappearing. My knees buckle as my head swims. 'He, he works for the Mafia,' I keep thinking to myself. This also explains why he married you: you were Andromeda's sister.
