Wiping the sweat off your forehead and waiting until your heart beat steadied, you moved off your bed and walked towards the bathroom getting ready for the new day that awaited you.

Continuing with the same routine, you glance at yourself in the mirror and begin the daily self-analyzing ritual.

THAT was something new. Where had that come from? Was your dream so wild that you scratched your own shoulder? “How is that even possible?”, you ask no one is particular. “Hmm, these don’t look like my nails would have done this..maybe I scratched myself on the bed somewhere.” Making a mental note to check your mattress later, you just ignore it and go on with your day.

Everything plays out as usual. The same long ritualistic hours slowly ticking away. You have a yearning feeling the entire day. It’s a feeling like you forgot to do something. Keeping yourself busy all day seems to help you settle down. But, in all honesty, you truly cannot wait to be home. Soon the sun begins to set, and you’re on your way to your safe haven. As soon as you enter your home, you kick off your shoes and head towards the shower. Once undressed you step under the warm water and let your stress wash down the drain. These past few years for you have gone amazingly well. You had gotten a promotion at work, started to sleep better, and finally moved into the apartment of your dreams-yet it always felt like there was something missing.
