She gave Gwen a quick wave and a small smile when June spotted her. The irritation with Colt didn't carry over to the other familiar faces she crossed paths with, and after the last encounter with Gwen she truly wanted to try and mend things. Jasper had been gone nearly a decade and Gwen had gone her own way as well. All of them had changed at least a little bit, there was no reason for her to hold a grudge after everything the other woman had done for her. Dylan was a little drunk by this point in the evening. Champagne got to her brain making her even more easily amused than she typically is. She’s on her way to get herself a treat when she passes a familiar face looking well, rather unfamiliar. “Oh, hi Cook,” Dylan says in passing not thinking much of it as their paths cross over. Her mind is focused on what finger foods await until suddenly it catches up on why Hunter looked so unfamiliar. Back tracking like she was in some sort of kids cartoon she freezes in front of the older man. “Holy shit you’re in a suit!”
“You look as if you were made to be out there on that dance floor,” Elena spoke up over the music that floated above as one dance ended and another began to call new dancers to the floor. She’d been watching a few of the people out on the floor, but her gaze kept drifting to a pair in particular that she could simply appreciate watching dance while she enjoyed her glass of wine off to the side. Maybe that was why she spoke up, feeling bold for a moment before she smiled through the slight flush on her cheeks in hopes that she hadn’t interrupted them or their night. “Sorry, if that was overstepping at all. With Cora off having the time of her life, Elena knew that the other would hope for the same for Elena even if she was content for the most part to people watch from her seat at the table they’d claimed earlier in the night. It was supposed to last her until Cora returned, so they could get more drinks together rather than her on her own but she couldn’t find the redhead. So she sucked up the courage to find her way to the bar on her own, ready to order another glass of wine to keep her company when she noticed someone familiar standing beside the bar as well. “Fancy seeing you here,” she spoke up as she smiled at them. “Can I buy you a drink?” Her tone was light, at least she hoped that it was instead of nervous, seeing as it was an open bar as she handed over her empty glass to the bartender and asked for it to be refilled. @beckshudson

“Why is there always a line for the women’s bathroom no matter where we go?” Dylan complains to the person beside her as she sways side to side, really needing to pee. It was some time into the night now but she was still wearing her wings and mask. There were at least ten people before them so she distracts herself with the company beside her. Their outfit was well, insane in the most complimentary of ways. “You look great, but can I ask… what are you supposed to be?” She didn’t even know who was behind the mask but she was impressed, sure it took a lot more work that putting on a pretty dress like most of them had.
