men are haunted by the vastness of eternity. and so we ask ourselves: will our actions echo across the centuries? will strangers hear our names long after we are gone, and wonder who we were, how bravely we fought, how fiercely we loved? [x]

in the end, that's all i want. to walk away from the sea and find some peace.
Seeing Billy like this is just sad. This they left me to die, BS. Fool, you tried to kill Madi and Flint and did kill some of your brothers in the process. You're not a victim. Revenge never works in Black Sails. You're brokering deals with a man that knows that better than most. You will lose.
LET EVERYONE REST 2k17 except Rodgers. he can choke.
my thoughts on 4x02 :3
billy’s willingness to hold the fates of captured slaves all willy nilly in his hands just high key pissed me all the way off. just bc you wanna have a pissing contest with flint, doesn’t mean you should try the fate of the slaves like that. that’s fr fucked up billy. i was rooting for you. even madi was not about to let black lives be murdered like that. i’m so pissed with billy. fight flint another time, that was not the time for you to make a damn statement.
maaaax my child D: i’m terrified. berringer can fuck all the way off. babe you need to fr fr pick a side. you know this game is dangerous af. throw some haitian vodou in the mix or something, call on your ancestors or some shit for protection lmao. max needs protection at all costs
also anne not wanting to go back to nassau bc she can’t imagine being forced to kill max. uhm wow, thanks for giving me these feels

you and i both know that there are men on both sides of this war whose identities are so enmeshed in this conflict that they are more afraid of ending it than they are of losing it.
Day 5 – Favorite Scene
My favorite scene is actually the conversation between Flint and Billy in Richard Guthrie's house in I. Not only does it show Flint indeed values Billy's 'input more than [he] know[s]', but gives the viewer insight as to where Billy stands with the crew and with Flint – Flint downright speaks to him as if Billy were a spokesperson for the crew. Billy gives Flint the unfiltered truth about the crew's view of Flint (“too weak“), something that Gates seemingly didn't do, or didn't do to Flint's satisfaction.
Billy is, essentially, established as a future mediator between Flint and the crew; he doesn't follow Flint nor the crew (nor Gates) without thought, but thinks for himself. He knows what the crew thinks about Flint, and stands out enough for Flint to listen to him and not dismiss him right away.
I also find it interesting that this is one of many conversations to come that the two of them cannot finish properly; like Flint, the audience doesn't find out whether or not Billy shares the crew's opinion of Flint being “too weak“.
