AND THE MOODIE GOES TO "THE BEST AND WORST MEN'S HAIR COMMERCIALS"
Whilst doing some hair research online here at Moodie HQ, we stumbled across the fabulous hair of America's NFL player Troy Polamalu. Born Troy Aumua, Polamalu is of American Samoan descent and was raised by his mother's brother Salu Polamalu in rural Southern Oregon. He petitioned in 2007 to change his legal name to his mother's maiden name of Polamalu, which he had been using for the previous fifteen years.
Troy's hair is one of his most distinguishing characteristics, allowing him to be easily spotted on the field. In the CBS Playoffs Pre-game Show, he said the last time he had gotten a haircut was in 2000 at USC.
It has been measured at 32 inches long, and he currently has a contract with Head and Shoulders shampoo, starring in five commercials for the product. In August 2010, it's reported that Procter and Gamble paid for a million-dollar insurance policy from Lloyds of London for Polamalu's hair. We love the H&S ads with Troy in them, they're clever and funny, and we've awarded them 'The Best Mens Hair Commercial Ever" but it sparked a thing in us here to find the best of the worst mens hair commercials too. Well, it wasn't that difficult to find some on Youtube but as well as including Troy's commercials here ( which incidentally we love and they weren't even nominated for the award) below are the winner and the runner up of "The Worst Mens Hair Commercials Ever".
