I first found out about The Producers from going record shopping.

I saw their debut, and it became a familiar because the same copy was always in the record store.

I had a phase where I used to research albums before buying them, but I eventually phased this out because I would just skip around on Spotify and I wasn't truly giving albums a chance. Certain albums have to be listened in full to get the full picture and skipping around isn't gonna do it.

Thanks to this, I found a lot of amazing artists by just trusting my own judgment. If something looks cool to me, I always believe that there's a reason, and I take hints when I get them.

On the topic of the band, they are excellent! They're one of the great, unique new wave and power pop acts of the early 1980s. They even have these little vibes of Cheap Trick, but they are still a very unique group and not all those acts sounded that way.

You'll have to listen to them to see what I mean, and I've conveniently (I always make playlists, don't be fooled) made a playlist so you can hear some of my favorites while you read my showcase on them!!
