They didn’t have the right attitude; they’d skip class, not bother with assignments, bully other students physically or via extortion, had no respect for teachers and so on. They were only in it to murder big shadow monsters, that was pretty much it.

They had all the requirements on their transcripts, but their attitude was pretty much just awful.
