The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, better known as the Warthog, is a Close Air Support (CAS) aircraft. It's designed to be able to come in, blow up stuff on the ground like tanks, then leave and repeat until it's out of ammunition.

It served alongside the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-18 Hornet, F-117 Nighthawk, and the B-52 Stratofortress in Operation Desert Storm.

The A-10 was designed around the Gau 8/A Avenger Rotary Cannon, a 30mm Gatling gun.

The A-10 has served in the USAF (United States Air Force) since 1977, and has not exited, due to the fact that not only nothing has been able to replace what it does, as well as it does, at its cost, but the USAF received negative backlash from the public for trying to remove them from service.

Most of it is black metal or mix of it. This is what keeps me going over bleak winters, it’s like listening to the bleakest stuff makes the actual darkness feel less dark.

Batushka - Yekteniya IV, Youtube, Spotify

The sickest orthodox chanting. Very nostalgic for a former church goer, love the vibe this band has to the full. This band is definitely in my top 5 of all-time best music.

ROTTING CHRIST

Rotting Christ - Χ Ξ Σ (666):  Youtube, Spotify. 

Great Greek band. Very cool buildup and menacing lyrics especially in this song.

Rotting Christ - Devadevam: Youtube, Spotify. 

The sickest hindu chanting, bit unusual song for Rotting Christ, but this really stands out as something special!

Rotting Christ collab with Borknagar. Two of my favorite band doing a collab, can’t get much better than this. Very uplifting music.

BORKNAGAR

Borknagar - Thunderous: Youtube, Spotify

The most uplifting metal for me. This stuff gets me over the winter. Another Top 5 candidate band.

Borknagar - Up North: Youtube, Spotify 

First ever song I ever heard from Borknagar, the video and the clear vocals got me hooked. 

KANONENFIEBER

Kanonenfieber - The Yankee Division March: Youtube, Spotify

Melodic Black/Death Metal can’t get over how refreshing this stuff sounds. WW1 themed and the lyrics paint a bleak picture of the war. Big fan of this German band.

SOUL DECODER

Soul Decoder - Fatalism: Youtube, Spotify 

Just super energetic Czeck death metal. Trying to double pedal alongside this really keeps the legs warm. Totally found this band because of their cover art.

TESTAMENT

TESTAMENT - WWIII: Youtube, Spotify 

Very energetic and old school’ish metal. One of the rare occasions I can understand (most of) the lyrics without having to read them. Dark themes but high energy.
