#brooklyn winter

for a good chunk of brooklyn’s life, she was raised in san diego, california. that changed when she and her father had move to south california due to her father receiving and accepting a high paying job offer that was away from what brooklyn called home. the move was hard for her, she had to leave friends behind and start off her freshman year of highschool at a new school. despite her negative thoughts about the move, brooklyn kept her mouth shut. brooklyn’s dad thought it would be best to put her in a boarding school considering that his new job would take up most of his time and he wouldn’t be able to properly take care of his daughter.

it was hard for little 14 year old brooklyn to adjust to SSB, she’s so used to having her dad around it was weird to only be able to call him every now and then. for the first few months at SSB, she mainly stuck to herself. until, a popular girl decided to ‘adopt’ brooklyn into her group. whether out of pity or kindness, brooklyn doesn’t know. it took a while for her to get used to the clique but soon brooklyn started to mimic their mannerisms and how they acted. from spending so much time with the popular clique, she started to climb up the social ladder at school until she was on the same level as the rest of the clique.
