((thanks ^^ i had a rough day yesterday but my wrist is feeling better this morning?  so hopefully that’ll last.  sorry this blog has been so dead for so long, i’m trying to work my way back up to lineart slowly so i’ve mainly been posting over on kfc for the time being))

((to your question- um, kind of?  the way i think of it is, you can send asks as another character, but they’d be restricted to the same rules as normal askers - the characters won’t have any way of knowing it was from that character unless they actively introduce themself, and even then may not believe they are who they claim to be.  from their perspective the character is just another asker, and there isn’t much they could do to prove otherwise.  especially considering the kids in this world aren’t really aware of the multiverse yet, so “i’m an alternate timeline version of you/your friend/your family” is gonna sound as far-fetched as it would if someone walked up to you on the street and said that irl))

Flowey looks down, smiling. His face is soft - looking like a little snout with tiny fangs and huge blue eyes.

“…a bit unreal”, he says earnestly. “It feels like… a dream, you know. I kind of fantasized a lot about this, so…” He trails away. ”But I am glad to know that they are here. That they got a chance to see the sun, too. That they… do not hate me.”

I could never hate you.

“Well, I could never hate you either. Just for the record. I know you enjoy overthinking things.”

You stop that.

“Hee hee… anyway, well. I feel… happy, I guess.” He looks a bit surprised at his own words. “Kind of sad, too. Really confused. But mostly happy.”

He falls silent, looking at me. “Your turn.“

Oh. I think I feel… mostly confused. But I am glad we had a chance to talk again. To have a little time together. To… settle things.

Flowey’s eyes become worried. “…Are you saying goodbye, right now?”

I don’t think I am ready to… pass over, if that is what you mean, no. But… maybe. We never got to say goodbye to each other, did we.

My brother nods, and he looks far more broken and wise than an eleven-year-old should look. “We did not. It was all so… quick…”

It was. I am not sure how long this will last, or if we will have a chance to talk again later, so… I get closer and hug him as well as I can, even if parts of my arms pass through him. Goodbye, Asriel. You are the best brother and the best friend I ever had. Thank you for everything. I love you.

Flowey blinks away a few crybabyish tears and chuckles. “It is easy to be the best when I am the single brother you have, hee hee.” Then he hugs me back. “Goodbye, Chara. You are the best, too. And you have the best pranks, and you do not even snore that much. Also it was actually me who ate that chocolate bar all that time ago. I buried the wrapper in your flower pot. The dog was really innocent. I am sorry. I wanted to say this for a long time. I’m really sorry.“

I sit back, looking at him. You did not.

“…I did. Sorry.”

…You little dirty liar and chocolate thief. I press my hands to my face. I cannot believe I just said I loved you. I hate you. I despise you with my whole being.

“Also I once dropped a cookie into your bed and there were crumbs everywhere so I brought you cookies so you would eat them on your bed and think that the crumbs come from you, not from me.”

Oh my god.

“And also I kind of killed your cactus once because I never saw you watering it so I started watering it myself and then it turned out you were watering it too and there was too much water and it died.”

Oh dear, you killed my cactus. Alright, well, I tore your plushie.

“What?!?”

Mr. Cheeky. I tugged onto his arms too hard and they fell off. I felt guilty and threw it into the dump.

“You told me he came alive and walked away to seek adventures!!!”

…Did you really believe that.

“…Yes?”
