I don’t want Genesis as a villain, I want Genesis as The Worst Party Member to Ever Exist in a JRPG. Like make him OP in the vein of Sephiroth in that one OG VII flashback but make him incredibly difficult to use lmao. Like…

> He goes and comes as he pleases and will leave the party/be unusable in a whim.

> He gets petty over nothing. Like Aerith dies and the team needs a dedicated healer and he’s just “oh let me just go get the pink ribbon and staff I keep in storage, BRB” and proceeds to file his nails or smth as one or more team members are dying from poison.

> Zack and Genesis cannot be in the party at the same time. No exceptions.

> Consistently makes any situation worse.

> Makes all Sephiroth encounters about their rivalry (read: himself).

Genesis would die. I think he would actually drop dead if that happened and/or just defect early. 😂

Also I feel like after Zack explains it, and Sephiroth is admittedly more curious than angry at the concept, he’d look to Angeal to try and get him to join in with the puppy eyes and Angeal would just be like “touching, but no absolutely not” as flatly as possible.

Ever Crisis looks a little interesting, but First Soldier is a battle royale game set 30 years before the main game events and I just... am immediately disinterested in that one lol. I’m not 12 and I don’t love FFVII for a bunch of generic looking jrpg npcs shooting each other in a handful of same-y arenas. They’re both dipping really hard into “milking the franchise” territory, but First Soldier just kinda seems like joke someone woulda made when Fortnite and PUBG exploded a few years back.

That said, I’m glad to see Yuffie (I have missed her!)/Remake getting moved to PS5 quickly enough but like... still... I’d kinda just rather them work on Remake pt. 2 and worry about that later, ya know? Maybe that’s just me, but like... I’ve been playing my own copy of 7R on PS5 on and off lately, and imo looks great without needing more graphical enhancements.

Like... unless they’re gonna go completely insane like BluePoint/Demon’s Souls did with the graphics and possibly add more content, I don’t see the point in it rn. Literally every game I have played on my PS5 vs. a PS4 counterpart so far feel does not feel graphically superior save for Demon’s Souls, and even then I’m not sure if that’s more to do with PS5 graphics or BluePoint just being ultra talented with their remasters like usual. Like... idk. I feel like they’d sell way more copies (and potentially systems to boot) if they dropped an “Enhanced Edition” or whatever of 7R a month or so before 7Rp2 gets here. It’s still hard to even find a PS5 rn, and I just feel like that announcement coulda waited.

I’m also like 5’4” or 5” or whatever and my best friend is right at 6’5” and it’s one of the most bullshit things I’ve ever experienced in my life lol.
