Omnath, Commander Of Elementals
Omnath is already great with a land recursion theme, but powering up your elementals could make this great. Shared Animosity also helps if doing this aggressive tribal build that doesnât mind losing creatures.

Triple Overtime?
So, that âwhenever a player CASTSâ wording is pretty important for this, but if someone is able to cast a second Bonus Round during the same turn as the first (such as with Eye of the Storm or Mizzixâs Mastery), each player ends up getting 3 copies of each instant or sorcery they cast that turn (One for the first one, one for the original second, and one for the copy made by the first of the second).
Wedgeâs Nath of the Gilt-Leaf
Nath gives you a token Elf Warrior whenever an opponent discards a card. Wedge (The Mana Source on Youtube) points out how well it goes together with Sadistic Hypnotist, and that interaction is incredibly good. His deck tech left out a lot of ways to expand this deck because of it being a budget deck, but we have no such limitation.
To celebrate the new year and a new set, Abe takes on a new form to preview a new card from Rivals of Ixalan!...
First off, big thanks to @sarkhan-volkswagen for helping me find the original source for this and making sure it is an official spoiler not a leak. That said:
Tamanoa isnât a Legendary creature, which has been a point of quite a bit of discussion in the community, and this is a large reason why. When you have an enchantment like Form of the Dinosaur, itâs basically a ticking timebomb, letting you keep the red zone a little more clear for your creatures, but also limiting how long you have to win. The two best ways to deal with this, then, are either gaining life or winning faster. Lifelink and similar abilities can definitely stem the tide, but gaining at least 15 life a turn can be a game changer. Instead of having to look at ways to bounce the FotD to get reset back to 15 life, youâre quickly increasing your life total, making the balancing of FotD into a benefit.
Arbitrarily Large Colorless Mana
I donât know if anyoneâs submitted any combos for infinite mana, but i have found one which gives infinite colourless. This combo is very much playing the long game because of mana cost to set up, but the pay off if great. Youâll need three cards, Karn, Silver Golem (Vintage Masters), Thran Dynamo (Archenemy), and Volatic Construct (Darksteel). To start this combo, with all cards out in play, you tap Thran Dynamo to get three mana, you use Karnâs 1 mana ability to turn Thran Dynamo into an artifact creature. then use the 2 remaining mana to use Voltaic Constructs 2 mana ability to untap Thran Dynamo (which is now an artifact creature). Rinse and repeat tapping Thran Dynamo, and paying 2 mana to untap it, and ramp up to the amount of mana you want to use.
From @mancalledintrepid
P.S. There have been a few âInfiniteâ combos, but they should have the âarbitrarily largeâ tag to search for them.

Painterâs Servant Junior/Lite/decaf
Shifting Sky is a less-broken (and not banned in Commander) version of Painterâs Servant. Where the Painterâs Servant affects all cards, spells, and permanents, Shifting Sky only affects non-land permanents. Common Cause works well for this, unless a land is animated, since it may then still be colorless.
Or, you could choose a color that you donât have in your deck, so all of your non-land permanents gain that color. You know, if you want your creatures to be multicolor for some reason. Or maybe you just want them to be immune to Fear (by making them black) or Intimidate (since all creatures share a color). Ignore this bit, as it makes all permanents one color, but not in addition to their current. Rest of the article is legit though.
Or maybe youâre using it a bit more offensively, to make all permanents a certain color that your deck is built to have protection from. Your creatures have protection from Black, and since you chose to make everything Black your opponent canât block your creatures, and when they attack you can block without your creatures taking damage.
Or maybe you just think that having something in common is a good way to find peace.
Gigantidition?
So, Iâm going to make a copy of Tree of Perdition. Next turn (or with Haste): Iâm going to pay one mana to make Tree of Perdition a 1/1. I tap it to exchange itâs toughness with my opponent.
Time to face the Music
You may want a Ferropede as well, to help minimize the Cumulative Upkeep, but Thrummingbird can make sure the song keeps going well after the Musician sings. (Use Musician to spread some seeds, and the Bird to help them grow.)
