Plan B or Tales of Making It Work-Cracked Monitor
I'm terrible with electronics. I think I've mentioned that before. The Dell technician knew me personally and I affectionately refer to my Zune as "Spider Man" edition.
So one evening I came in from work sat in my recliner and her a crunch. Now the laptop was placed under the recliner for storage. But I knew that crunch could not be good. I opened the screen and voila. For awhile I tried to look around the lines, but the cracked screen slowly spread. What's that you say? Didn't you mention a Dell technician. Why yes. I typically max out my extended warranties on electronics and wouldn't you know that my Dell insurance expired 36 days after the incident? I could have paid to extend it, but I didn't have $160+.
Plan B. My family recently got a new house computer so I too the old monitor and hooked it up to my laptop. Voila. I can see the entire screen.
