Review of Fire by Kristin Cashore - 4 stars
I wasn't really sure of this book when I started, because of the change in location and characters from the first book, but I assumed it would all connect eventually, and I definitely love how it did! I love most of the new characters we are introduced to in this book, and I found it really interesting to see the backstory of Leck, from when he was a child and figuring out how to control everyone around him, and how he managed to appear in Monsea and become King. It would be nice to see some characters from this book appear in Bitterblue, but considering the time difference I'm not sure if we will, however the book does leave that path open, what with the characters becoming interested in checking out Monsea, in order to know if they need to protect themselves or not, and considering Leck was the first Graceling they met, I too would be worried.

When I saw him (walking down the street) a Brocker story
It's been a couple of weeks since they've moved to Queens. They like it here, both Eddie and Venom. Since Anne and Dan's wedding, they've felt a bit......well.....left out there. He was not only invited to said wedding, but also he had to play the best man for Dan. Not because the doctor wanted him to suffer, but because in a short span of time they've become great friends. Eddie just couldn't say no, not after Dan looked at him with soo much hope. Anne was happy with Dan, Anne's happiness was all Eddie could ask for at this point.
Besides, currently NYC was buzzing with news. It was a beacon to every reporter out there! It was like a golden opportunity to reporters, photographers alike. There was just too much to work on...... Tony Stark/ Iron-Man, the accords, the rouge Avengers, random super villain infused attacks ('food!' Venom reminded him excitedly) and lastly, Eddie's personal favorite.......
Spider-Man
Spider-man was a enigma to Eddie, a mystery to solve, a secret to unmask. Spider-man was swinging through Queens way before the blonde even met Venom.
Before this whole Life Foundation fasioco, Eddie had a fixed job, which meant he couldn't move to New York even if he wanted to. But now he was a Freelance, it was about time he chase his own dream.
He had taken at least 12 photos of the masked vigilante in the past couple of weeks. He planned on taking an interview though.
Smiling, he looked up from his phone and....
And that's when he saw him.
It took him a moment to realize that yes, it was indeed a human being (not a doll) and a male (he had to inspect.....a bit)
'He's pretty, Eddie....'
He felt the symbiot slithering and forming a little piece of itself just beside his neck.
"Yeah~" - Pretty felt like the perfect word to describe him.
The boy (He couldn't be older than 18, according to Eddie) almost looked like a doll with his pale skin and curly brown hair, the big doe eyes were something the reporter hasn't witnessed in anyone before. He was standing by a piller, probably waiting for the train. He had a pair of unusually designed earplugs on. (I mean, what's with the thick cables? Were those new in market? Eddie haven't seen one before!)
The boy fidgeted suddenly. He perked up and looked around, searching for something..... someone.
The train arrived too quickly for their liking. The boy straightened and took a few steps towards the train.
They felt disappointment blossoming in their heart, he was walking away. They wouldn't see him again!
Just before entering the train, the boy turned around and scanned the subway again, his eyebrows were furrowed lightly, lips slightly opened in confusion. Then he turned back and boarded the train. Leaving Eddie with an agitated symbiot screaming "Don't let him go!" In his ear.
The train gained speed and within moments, it was out of sight.
Inside the train, Peter's frown remained on his face. He couldn't be wrong.....
Someone was definitely watching him.
'Or maybe', he thought with a shrug, his frown eventually disappearing, 'My spidy-senses are acting up randomly, again'

I'm naming this ship Brocker, do you people have any suggestions? We seriously need to think of something other than Spidyvenom. If someone actually ship it that is. (People do on AO3, I don't know about Tumblr though)
