I’m so sad today 💔 Turk’s legs couldn’t support her anymore, she couldn’t stand up on her own. Homesteaders always say, “Don’t get attached to your farm animals,” but Turk has always been super friendly, since day 1, and I don’t feel bad that I have had the joy of raising Turk. She is was a #broadbreastedbronze turkey (I thought she was a heritage bronze - broad breasted are bred specifically for meat in a short period of time and she lasted longer than her life expectancy (which is approximately 10 months - give or take). When we got her she was for Christmas - but she stole my heart. Turk was about 15 months old). This is a tribute to a wonderful lady who already is sorely missed! #godsbeautifulcreation #iloveturkeys #ripturk #socalurbanhomesteaders #socalvlogger #organicallyann #urbanhomesteading #minifarm #socalminifarm #familyturkey #petturkey https://www.instagram.com/organicallyann/p/Bwu2XwSlvG_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=gd4i91kkwa2o
