Any thoughts or headcanons on the idea Shriv and Bane actually meeting. 👽
(May or may not include a s/o perspective, assuming that their type is duros lol)
I have many scenarios in that they meet or know each other. I also ship them. I have an entire fic planned that will possibly intersect with an x reader I have already written, titled "Better than Candy," but what comes before is something called "Tatooine Manhunt," or at least it's called that for now.
Essentially, the Empire is after the same target as the Rebellion for specific reasons--a man one wants dead, and the other wants on their side. Bane's a bounty hunter, Shriv's a rebel--it makes sense.
The Empire puts out an all call. Bane's in the area and the reward is steep. He goes in on it along with several other hunters. It's sort of may the best man win type of scenario--except he runs into Shriv.
I don't want to give it all away, but they are forced to work together, begrudgingly might I add. They can't seem to stand one another, yet are put into a predicament with the Empire now hot on both their trails due to things going awry.
I love a good rivalry. This is just the beginning, however. Eventually they cross paths again, and this time Bane has been hired by none other than Lando Calrissian, and as you can imagine, Shriv is none too happy.
That's where the x reader comes in. This one might be a bit overbearing and obsessive. xD Bane decides he doesn't like that for him. Let's just say he's good at picking up on things.
As far as headcanons...
Shriv and Bane are somewhat alike but also completely different. They are both snarky and sassy and butt heads easily.
Sometimes Shriv pushes Bane's buttons a little too far, and he will lash out physically, which at that point Shriv backs down because he wants to live to fight another day.
One day, Shriv has a terrible epiphany: "Oh no--he's hot." Bane can sense and smell the change in Shriv's pheromones. It's intriguing to say the least.
Bane will take advantage. I also think he would experience cuteness aggression. Shriv is as adorable as he is infuriating, and it baffles him.
I do think at some point, once Bane has decided "this is my Duros," he will be overly protective of him. Think of a gargoyle or some kind of beastly creature looming over your shoulder. Things start going Shriv's way a lot more often.
I think while Shriv may want a genuine relationship, Bane is unable to completely reciprocate. He wants more than he can give him, though he doesn't want or mean to hurt Suurgav's feelings.
Bane may wind up doing what he does best--flying off into the sunset, breaking hearts in the process. Shriv would pretend something like that doesn't affect him, but he's ultimately lying to himself.
I did have one more idea apart from all of this--two Duros walk into a bar situation. Reader is hit on by Bane but seems disinterested at first, which never happens to him. He's annoyed, and in walks Shriv.
Reader talks to him, is amicable, is laughing, having a good time. Bane is infuriated by it. What's this wimp got going for him that he doesn't?
Bane's pissed off enough to confront him. Shriv is his normal, caustic, humorous self. Before Bane's temper gets out of hand, Reader steps in--she says there is more than enough of her to go around--that's right. Now we have ourselves the beginnings of a threesome, though Bane is more of a "I go first and then sit back and watch" kind of guy.
I do like to think this turns into something else entirely. Shriv and Bane fucking each other instead, somehow. It would be hilarious to me if the reader got left out entirely. "What about me?" ;D

I started by splicing my two favorite (official) artworks together, threw in what appears to be a Corona-class frigate (syke), then decided to see what Shriv Suurgav would look like added to the mix, THEN I had to add Jango and Poe, cause ...

I want Shriv and Bane to play this. Maybe they are on their way to somewhere and Shriv is bored.
It turns into hot, aggressive sex because Bane hates being insulted and Shriv is too good at it LOL.

Cad Bane: You gotta be de one high talkin' t'me like dat.
Shriv: You understand the rules of the game, right?
Cad: To be an asshole.
Shriv: ...Yes.
(Later Bane gets so mad he ruts him into the floor)

As you can see, Shriv's eyes are different than Bane's, as he has the horizontal, almost goat-like pupils. I think in that instance Bane is trying to insult him, LOL. Like, "yeah, and yours sure as hell aren't like mine," basically. They are both Duros, but perhaps Bane is mixed like a mutt and Shriv is "pureblood," or perhaps there are multiple subspecies of Duros, or just different races based on different locales when Duro was once a thriving planet. Hrmmm.
Anyway, it sounds like and is meant to be mean. ;D As far as Shriv's reaction, he'd probably scoff, turn and walk away, or come up with something smart to say back like, "Didn't your life-giver ever teach you that if you can't say anything nice, don't say nothing at all? Well, nothing's what you're getting from now on, pal. Ain't nothing nice about you, anyway." After he gets THAT out, Bane gives him a show of force, mhmmm. Probably puts him in his place a littie. >D
The other was in relation to Duros having green blood. If Shriv blushes because he's feeling awkward or shy, well, he's changing colors. xD
