If you are looking for a good animated TV series to watch, check out Mike Jupp's The Dreamstone, a British cartoon that ran from 1990-1995 and has really cool animation, writing, characters, story, the music is absolutely phenomenal (performed by a full orchestra) and has one of the best villains in TV history in Zordrak, Lord of Nightmares.
Its not out on DVD but you can get it on VHS in some countries and most of the episodes are on YouTube, highly recommended if you are interested in animation (Will also appeal to the people who think British accents are cute, as the voice acting is spot-on)
