(NIV) Genesis 7.14 - They had with them every wild animal according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.

I wonder if God saw any problems with the animals. It would be like they were punished for the actions of man that they had nothing to do with. I wonder if we would be subject to the same type of things if it were to other way around. Everything is interconnected.

They were openly exposed without even noticing. Who they were was almost unknown to them. Without a conscience in the sense of trying to be something or another specific, they were free from the constraints of expectations set for themselves. It was basically just free living.
