I think there needs to be a point in the story of Bringing Night where Sel has to be at their lowest and finally 'give up' Amia, or at least the idea of bringing her back from the dead in some way.

At the moment I'm struggling to find the place that it should go in the story, maybe around the climax?

I want the story to be about Sel coming to terms with the loss of their childhood friend and finally being able to move forward and make new connections / friendships with the people in their life who are still alive.

Amia is dead. She's not coming back. But she was also Sel's only childhood friend, and the only real friend Sel has for a long time. And it's because of that that Sel is refusing to let go.

But to move forward, Sel must let Amia remain a bittersweet memory.

Another thing is that I think Amia, once dead, doesn't want to come back. She's accepted death.

Trying out a new color palate for her clothes, hopefully something easier to draw and animate. What do you think? Good? Bad? Should I stick with the original color palette, keep this one, or something else entirely?
