My no. 1 favourite thing about it is it is the only at home microcurrent device I know of to have a setting to “erase” lines like 11’s, crows feet, smile lines and such, that is in addition to its “educate” setting which lifts and tones the muscles, like along the jawline, cheeks and eyebrows, and it does it up to 400 uA (microamps). Thought I’d lost this little guy for a few days, hidden in the bubble wrap it arrived in, and I was sweating buckets, as it was quite a bit of a splurge for me. From what I can tell I got the old formulation of @biologique_recherche ‘s #legrandeserum, as the ingredients look exactly the same to the one I have been using. All I need is two drops of this golden elixir, packed with 90% active ingredients (27 of them), leaves the skin plumped and glowing, helps prevent premature aging (although I think prevention is a little late for me). I’ve realized I actually like these finishing serums in a dropper form than spray, so I like getting them in these smaller 8ml bottles instead of the 30ml. These are used over moisturizers (although if you are younger this particular serum is so rich it could be used in place of a moisturizer). For those who don’t use BR, you may be wondering what a “finishing serum” is, well it has a larger molecular structure than your usual serum, so sits on the top layer of the skin to Finishing serums are not meant to be absorbed into skin as our regular serums tend to do. They were built to sit on top of skin as a protective shield, enhancing the ingredients below it, amplifying their efficacy. When I first started using BR I thought: what? I need another serum?! Dear Serum Placenta... How much do I love you? I’ll tell you no lie... Ok, so you smells so bad I need to keep you in the fridge, but you heal the skin like nothing else (helps speed healing after a breakout, and help with under eye circles (by energizing and strengthening the delicate skin). Pearly goodness for today’s #texturetuesday with @biologique_recherche ‘s #cremeauxacidesdefruits thanks to @dolcevitaskin 🍎. I have been using this beautiful pearlescent and gently exfoliating cream for a few weeks now and am loving its brightening effect. It has apple, grape and ginger extracts to soften, exfoliate and detoxify the skin, smoothing fine lines and brightening the complexion, purifying and refining skin texture. In addition to AHA it also has NMF (natural moisturizing factors) that enhances the regenerating, moisturizing, revitalizing effect on the top layer of the skin. Have repurchased half of these @biologique_recherche serums since buying them in March, so thought I’d share my thoughts (more on other BR serums to come): Serum Elastine - on my 2nd bottle, my favourite BR serum, restores elasticity by stimulating Elastine synthesis, erases crows feet/ fine lines/wrinkles (especially with microcurrent), super lightweight and hydrating. Don’t plan on being without this one. Serum Placenta - have repurchased twice already, smells funky but I don’t mind l at all (BR doesn’t use artificial fragrances), it helps fade and heal post-inflammatory/acne marks, strengthens the skins and purifies it (great to strengthen the skin under the eyes, to help hide dark circles and prevent puffiness), it also helps restore skin elasticity. Another I don’t plan on being without. Serum Colostrum - BR’s highest level of hydration, particularly best for those in dry climates and super dehydrated (like me) and 40+. Some find the milk proteins in this too rich, but my skin feels super hydrated and drinks it up. Am on my 2nd 30ml bottle since trying it in this 8ml bottle pictured here. Serum Oligo-protein Marines - great for my dark circles, it has malachite and algae extract that helps brighten and stimulate skin cell growth, unifying the complexion. BR doesn’t have Vit C serums per se, but this contains Vit C, so I consider this the BR equivalent of Vit C (along with its L’eauxygenante). Serum Collagene Natif - helps keep water on the surface of the skin, making it plumped. For those who find their pores appear larger due to loss of collagen (ie. more mature skin), this helps them look tighter/smaller. Serum Fluide VIP O2 - a finishing serum that goes over moisturizer, it has BR’s oxygenating complex that stimulates the epidermal functions by increasing the concentration of oxygen on the surface of the skin. Hydrating, regenerating, soothing it has some of BR's largest concentrations of anti-aging components and gives you a gorgeous lit-from-within glow. It boosts and seals the actives under it, have run out and need to repurchase ASAP. Any Q’s? Any fave serums?
