FEEDBACK from presentation
I am glad I got many valuable feedback both from guests and my classmates this week. One thing I think I missed the past weeks was to explore what college students do, their behaviors and experience in different places. Through presentation, I found I did most of my research on the different places and environment instead of focusing on “INTERACTION”, which is a very important feature for my thesis.
Second, I was told that the target users for my thesis topic is still unclear and hard for me to follow next steps. Because “non-local students” is a broad group, there are still a lot of types of non-local students based on different culture and backgrounds. In Thursday’s class, when talking to Jeremy about my lists of these types of students, he gave me a good advice which is instead of looking at a specific audience, what may help me identify better is to spread my survey and talk to students. Are there any group of people that are associate to my design goal? And to look at some clues through my next steps and find out common points from them.
