❛ you're an idiot most of the time, but you're my idiot. ❜

He made a face upon them saying that. Not really sure how to take that comment? When was he ever an idiot, honestly? Briar used to be much more angry. But that was when he was younger, a young wolf who really didn't know where he belonged, in Wonderland. Born to the King of Hearts, and to a wanderer, really didn't bode well for the offspring. But with time, he was able to let go of some of that frustration and was now being called an idiot. He probably should have just stayed an angry wolf. Letting out a sigh, he narrowed his eyes a moment before putting on a smile “And what makes you so sure I'm the idiot here?” Briar then said, crossing his arms under his chest.
In the last couple of years he had gotten into things like becoming a chiropractor, which Wonderland clearly, so desperately, needed. He had upgraded his life past the title of 'That weird kid' that most Wonderlandians had seen him as, running around acting out his wolf side, instead of the human side, like his father. Not that he had been tamed, of course. But he had realized something in these last years, he was needing to tame himself. Or he would lose everyone. Briar grinned, even though it was all still bothersome, dealing with other people. He knew he couldn't be a lone wolf all the time. Especially with his mother still around. She needed him, she was much more a loner than he had been. Forced to stay with his father, for his safety, most of his childhood, with his half siblings, and Ginevra's little girl, who was very much like a little sister to him.
Briar shifted a little bit, tilting his head slightly, his ears twitching a little bit as he listened to the noise around them “Is that all you wanted to say to me-oorr? Was there something more? I was kind of on my way to the race track-” He cut himself off for a moment, his eyes narrowing once more “Everything's okay, right?” He had to ask, since now their comment seemed more like they were buttering him up for a harsh blow. Or maybe he was just overthinking it.
