Brettsey Appreciation Week: Day 4 - Favorite Hug

Because it’s not just the fact that they can openly talk to each other about anything, it’s that they’re not afraid to be vulnerable around each other. They can let their guards down which is not something they do with a lot of people.

They can have fun around each other, be silly, but also talk about their feelings and important things.

All of this is shown with that one quote, that I feel is like their own thing : Talk to me. And they do, without fear, without judgment. And I think that’s beautiful.

Brettsey Appreciation Week - Day seven

Day 7 - Free choice

A free choice category is oddly liberating as well as challenging.

Out of everything I could focus on, I’ve chosen the thing that really stood out in the finale.

I’m talking about the important difference between Casey and Brett.

Their height.

It’s been noticeable before...

However in the finale it stuck out to me and I’m a sucker for a significant height difference between partners (I blame my own height disadvantage!)

I’m convinced Casey picked her up during their first kiss and post injury diagnosis hug, because a) He needs her close and b) she’s just so smol it hurts his neck to bend down to her height c) lifting her aligns them just right 😉

Their second, first kiss was outstanding and the sight of Casey’s hand cupping her face to raise her lips to his as he bent down rivalled any on screen kiss I’ve seen yet to seen. In that moment their size difference was really noticeable and painstakingly adorable. He just envelopes her.

But the height difference is also kinda hot. Like this moment when he towers behind her.... it’s hot.

Just look at them... 💯 hotness right there.

They just have to stand next to each other and the idea that at any moment he could lift her up with no issue and carry her off to wherever he wants to and have her wrap herself around him... hot and cute... which sums them up to a tee.

I don’t know why I love their height difference so much. I could’ve posted about defining moments or how they elevate each other, I could’ve spent time discussing on what I want to see on their future or the symbolism of their hands and how much focus we’ve had on their nervous ticks turned comforting strokes, to sensual touches but no, it’s their height differences that I wanted to spend a few seconds highlighting.

Whilst this could’ve been some insightful, detailed essay on Brettsey’s relationship, I thought I’d keep it superficial 😝

I can't pick just one! There have been so many! I have re-watched the last 4 episodes of season 7 so many times 😁 I really enjoyed watching Casey start to fall for Sylvie.

And 8x07, because we saw Brettsey getting back on track, and 8x13 because it was amusing to see Casey finding any excuse to spend time with Brett. There were so many cute moments! 🤗

And 8x16, because they were like a married couple in that one:

And 9x01 and 9x02 made me smile till my cheeks hurt! Except for the last few seconds of course.

And of course, 9x12. Greg who?

Hands down my favorite longing look is this one! The little step she took towards him and the way he was looking at her like he just wanted to spill his heart out 😍😍😍
