Gotta love going for MRI appointments. Especially when you get given the wrong hospital clothing at the start, so you get to style out two lots of hospital wear!👌🏻 #HospitalClothingSucks #BreastMRI (at Pembury Hospital)
MRI
Week 6: Nice place, friendly staff, LOUD machine. I thought that I wouldn’t mind the procedure, but I did. Every time I tried to adjust my position in the slightest between image sequences, I’d hear the tech through my headphones “don’t move, honey, you’ll mess up all the images.” Easier said than done; you try staying absolutely still for 40 minutes leaning head forward in the dark! I was looking forward to hearing some Adele (I got to pick my tunes before I went in), but I could barely hear her voice amid the clamor of the machine. Once that ordeal was finally over I was called into ultrasound room with the radiologist for an additional look to confirm her findings. Yup the tumor is a lot bigger than it appeared on mammogram, taking up most of the anterior-lateral part of the breast. A couple of “plump” lymph nodes but that could be due to all the inflammation in my breast. She wouldn’t recommend lumpectomy. Sigh.  Â
