come on man you’ve got to think a little more about intracommunity misogyny. yes obvs we as trans men have a hard time and the word to describe that experience is transphobia. trans women also experience transphobia and additionally they experience discrimination for being women and that combined experience is called transmisogyny. there is no such thing as oppression for being a man so there is no such thing as transphobia plus man-phobia which is why transmisogyny isn’t real. reblogging posts that say “we need to stop arguing about whether men or women have it worse” is pretty demonstrably dismissive about women. why would it be any different when the men and women in question are trans?
it is so incredibly black and white to try and say that by pointing out that trans men experience oppression i am also erasing women. the two ideas can exist at the same time. that is all i am trying to say, and i appreciate that there are terms for it because i have fucking experienced it. the whole point is to be intersectional in approaching any type of oppression. nowhere have i ever said or thought that women aren't oppressed or discriminated against. for the love of god you guys need to stop assuming that because I think X i must also believe Y. i am not going to add a footnote to every single post i reblog.
