"Pyrus, Braznt, have you guys ever sparred with Pollith?"
Braznt: “It was odd not being allowed to grapple and upturn him, but it was an interesting challenge”
Pyrus: “He was very open to our unique fighting styles, particularly how to pin an opponent in a corner.”
Asgardian Arrival
It’d been a quiet, peaceful day in the Heightss. As the evening dwindled down, the gijinkas had found themselves settling in for the night: Fectos, Kellin and a few of the other gijinkas had turned on a movie for the night; Glassie, Serapis, and Xanus were at the table going over new spells and enchantments; Sylar and Arkes were on dish duty; Ledell and Francis were downstairs sparring in the gym.
Kellin curled up next to Fectos, “It’s nice to have a calm day for once.”
The dewott nodded, “Agreed, if only we didn’t have a charity event tomorrow...”
As the trailers finally ended, Stamos lowered the lights and passed the large bowl of fresh popcorn around, but as the opening credits started, the TV turned to static.
Kendra raised an eyebrow, “Satellite out?”
Amphin shook his head, “You really think that Lucas would let that happen? That was one of the first things that Jolteon fiddled with. Since then, it’s been as reliable as my shooting.”
Sighing, Fectos got up from the couch and headed to the TV. As he neared it, a large glowing circle with symbols appeared between him and the technology. Almost jumping back, he casts a look over to the three arcana users at the table, “Could the three of you take a look at this...I think we got some magic going on.” Looking at one another, the three gijinkas got up and hurried over to the magic circle.
As they looked it over, Stamos asked, “This the doing of one yall?”
Serapis shook his head, “Now...it doesn’t appear to be of enchantment, elemental, or druidic...”
Xanus walked around the circle, “The runes appear to be Nordic...Glassie, I’m guessing you can translate?” She nodded as she murmured under her breath.
Suddenly, her eyes flew open, “Everyone get back!”
She and the other gijinkas bolted from the living room as a pillar of fire came to life, going from floor to ceiling.
Looking at it in shock, Kendra asked, “What is that?”
“Transport magic,” Glassie explained, “Someone sent a portal to us, and whoever is coming through is in that pillar of flame.”
As the flames began to die down, the gijinkas saw a figure cloaked in elaborate garb step out of the the ring.
“Is this the house of Fectos?” The figure’s voice boomed out.
The others looked to Fectos who took a deep breath and stepped forward, “I am Fectos, How can I help you?” While his fans weren’t on him, he still had his hydrokenisis at his beck and call.
The figure extened a gauntlet covered hand, “I am Braznt, son of Surtr and immigrant to Asgard.”
Fectos blinks blankly, but still shakes his hand, “Um...hi? What brings you to Poke Heights?”
The Asgardian looked at him and then the others, “I was sent here by Freyr to as a test of my loyalty to Asgard. He told me that I am to stay in the House of Fectos,”
Glassie stepped forward, “Did you saw Asgard and Surtr?”
The Asgardian nodded to her, “Yes, is there a problem?”
“No,” She shook her head, starting to fill with excitement, “Just that this proves that the Norse parthenon is real.” She quickly started to discus with the other two magic users about the possibilities that this opened.
Stamos gave Braznt a look over, “Well, I’d hate to break it to you, but Poke Heights is a ‘Gijinka-Only’ safe zone...and you don’t exactly look the part.”
Kellin shook his head at the Sheriff, “Don’t be so fast...Braznt, could you show me your gauntlets?” The Klefki stepped forward. The Asgardian held up one of his gauntlets, which was embedded with four gemstones, each of them the same shade of dark cherry.
“I thought so...” Kellin looked to the others, “That’s Blazikenite!” Looking to Fectos, Kellin was surprised, “I think...I think Braznt is a full-on Mega Blaziken gijinka.”
“Mega Gijinka?” Kendra mused, “You sure about that? I thought that some gijinkas could only temporarily go Mega when exposed to the proper mineral.”
“It’d take some investigation,” Kellin replies, “But for now, I’d have to say it’s looking possible that this much Blazikenite might have manipulated his gijinka genes.”
Braznt looked confused at all the others, “Forgive me, but I’m not understanding a single word. If you could point me in the direction of the nearest mead hall, I’ll be fine.”
As Fectos began to talk with the new gijinka trying to explain what this all meant, Ledell and Francis rushed up from the gym while Emma and Jon Lucas entered from the roof.
“We heard the commotion.” Ledell said, his rapier still in hand, “Is something the matter?”
Kellin shook his head, “No, we have a new member at the Heights. Meet Braznt, the Mega Blaziken Asgardian.”
Asgardian Pants Zippers
Braznt was sitting on the couch in the Living room of the Heights, wearing the jock he borrowed from Stamos while watching Food Network as all of his clothes were in the wash. Ever since arriving on Earth, he’d been fascinated with Iron Chef...confused as they wore no armor, yet were treated like champions.
Emma walked in, holding a pair of Braznt’s pants. The Emolga Aviatrix appeared unfazed by the Asgardian’s state of dress, “Braznt, I have a question...”
The Asgardian looked up at her, “Yes?”
“Well, I came across one of your jeans in the laundry, and...your pants..they have a zipper. Like a full-fledged crotch fly. I didn’t think that Asgard knew about male urinal procedures.”
Braznt shrugged, “You sound surprised. Asgard has long known that a warrior should not be caught with his pant around his ankles while relieving himself. Terrible situation if you are ambushed."
Emma blinked, “Wait...so you guys have flies, but not coffee, cable or wifi? I will never understand Asgard....”
