"right." eyes roll as riku speaks, arms crossing over his chest. expression shows mild annoyance as gaze flickers back to the keyblade wielder. it was always the same thing with these warriors of light, wasn't it? he waves a hand idly as he speaks, brows rising. "because people like you always do. sure, you can move on from the past --- but you can't ever let it go. not when it's what drives you to ' do better ' or ' be better '."
he scoffs at the idea, shaking his head. he pushes himself off of the counter he'd been leaning on and closes the distance between himself and riku. gloved finger presses against the other's chest, just over his heart. "everyone falls to darkness, some more than others. just because you think you've moved past it doesn't mean you have. it's always there, riku, waiting for the perfect moment to jump right back out." he smiles, but it isn't quite right. it's twisted and doesn't reach his eyes.
"for the right people, you'd be willing to risk it all, even if it meant losing yourself. take aqua for example --- no one would have thought she'd give in. even the strongest fall sometimes." he shrugs, dusting riku's shoulder free of dust that does not exist. "all i'm saying is that just because you walk the path of light now doesn't mean you're free from the darkness you carried. i can sense it. it's still there, thriving."

𝐒𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑, a means to atone. or so he once thought. an everlasting sin to earn the scorn of fate : he witnessed the birth of calamity’s prodigy, allowed wreckage come to pass. death was his suitable punishment. though ... so much time has passed since his death ------ nay , his rebirth -------- and he’s taken note to how life changed, if only to adjust. ideas of forgiveness, of retribution altered in the minds of a newer generation. they’d direct him in the proper direction, so that he may prosper, just as they did, in the future.
he, too, was once young and foolish, a sentiment greatly understood, thus acknowledged with a gentle nod of his head. accepting oneself is a great feat not many accomplish in their lifetime; for it was a battle so often lost ( he had not been victorious until recently. ) ❛ i let the one i loved, the one i respected most, face the worst. my sin ... it will be with me for as long as i live. ❜ eternally, he means to say, ❛ i have not tried to seek forgiveness, but rather ... atonement. in the end, the only way to achieve it was to understand what i had done. understand the consequences, then take responsibility. ❜ ( in the end, he’d decided to help defeat the son of his beloved ... to commit a final sin to atone as best he could for just watching. )
the sigh that falls from his lips denotes a sense of sadness, as did the rest of his tone. ❛ darkness is not something so easily conquered ------ acknowledge your accomplishment. ❜ he shifts, ❛ it makes living as long as i have ... easier. ❜
“He’s what?!” The male spoke out slightly frustrated to learn that the boy he had captured or saved had been abducted by this new threat that commanded the darkness. Ever since he’s taken the one called Sora the heartless had been rather relentless within Shibuya, however there wasn’t anything else Yozora could have done now. The young man had intentionally kept Sora’s form crystalized in a desperate attempt to prevent his body from completely fading from existence. But now he was lost, and the dreams did not even stop there..however, there were more pressing matters at hand known as the heartless that currently threw the city into Chaos, Yozora quickly hops into his vehicle as his driver races from his estate towards the Tokyo’s crossing where the heartless ran amok.

Despite Nix being at a loss at her current circumstances, at least she seemed to find someone that actually believed her. This was the best lead she had and now was the time to hopefully get some answers. “The last thing I remember before waking up here was..” Ah right, she was with the others to handle a bounty. Money was getting tight and so some work needed to be done so they wouldn’t have to worry. Plus there was the added bonus of making the area safer with the removal of a particularly dangerous daemon. Though in the middle of the fight, darkness had fallen upon them and that meant more threats were on the way. “I was fighting alongside the others when the sunlight faded away. It’s common for more monsters to appear when that happens but.. The one that showed up around me were different. Yellow eyes and pitch black creatures pulled me into the ground. Last thing I remember is hearing the others call my name before I blacked out.”
