I'd bet my ass that Sam info-dumped to Jacob about Amel and the Replimoids and Bravenna and Atlantis all in one sitting... and I wished it had been taped. We deserved to experience Jacob's face. (Source)

Inktober day 24: a scene that makes you laugh I'm just gonna leave this here
Hello, there! I just finished "Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis" yesterday and I wanna share my opinion, even when no-one asked it. First I want to apologize for my bad English (I speak Spanish not English) and second just mention that here might be spoilers. Well, at the beginning of the book I was a bit disappointed. It is very different from the rest of the books. Now I understand why some people said that AR lost "her touch", so to speak, but I don't think the same way. The book is very different from the rest of the series, yes. The Vampiric romanticism is lost, the idea that they are demons, that they are children of the night, that they are damned, it is as if they enter a Renaissance, and I think that is because of Fareed. It's started with him in Prince Lestat. Now everything is science, but at the same time there is a mysticism in the reason for the existence of Amel. At first, and there are still things I did not like very much, the fact that they are aliens disliked me, I think I would have preferred Amel to be a evil spirit that possessed the Queen Akasha and that Memnoch was really the devil. But I also like that they are not, and that Anne Rice had created something new, and that it is like an analogy to God and the Devil. God = Amel, Devil = Memnoch. I want to read now about Memnoch, but not as a deceitful spirit but as the Replimoid who escaped from his body and was released as Amel. I LOVED LOUIS! How he had grown up during the years. How stronger he is now. And all these discoveries of the Replimoides, are astonishing. Now there is the possibility that Magnus has a body and makes me rethink the story of Claudia. In fact I'm going to write about it these days (Like the chance that Claudia can come back the way Magnus, Riccardo or maybe Gremt did) In the end I was not disappointed. It may not be the same style as Interview or The vampire Lestat, but it does not mean it's bad. It means that vampires have entered a new era with a new, more optimistic thinking. As I said, it is their Renaissance. And in all this new "fantasy" this more "realistic fantasy" I still see our old vampires, but stronger, braver, and with more confidence about their place in the world. Anne Rice wrote an original story about Vampires and gave then an authentic origins to them. There's no others vampires with this background. And, yes, I'll miss the darkness behind all of them, but I also like this light, this shining moment they are living. I can't wait to read the next book. I hope Anne brings us back some of our beloved character who died. (Yes, Claudia. But I'm not that optimistic.) And I want to read more about Amel as a singular being with his own body.
Inktober vc day 6: birb aliens I've never drawn the parents at all before so this was just me messing around haha. I had to go back to the book because all I remembered was weird birdlike aliens with big scary eyes so *shrug* Also bottom left is me getting snacks in the middle of the night trying to not wake anyone up 😂
