Susie has a terminal illness and signs up, somehow, to get her brain uploaded to "survive." The whole thing is framed like sprites from the game, there's a UI, etc.

But as I talk with Susie (yeah, I'm literally there somehow), she admits that brain uploading might just kill her and create a digital double.

It’s just stagnation.

Sorry. No sell.

I don’t see where else it’s gonna go.

Uploading one’s mind and consciousness. Okay. Living theoretically forever as computer code.

What then? What comes after? Nothing?

You’ll just stop!

Is that worth it?

Nay!

Pull the fucking plug!

Any fool oligarch and leader who longs to live forever whether through this crap or blood transfusions or god knows what else is committing a brazen crime against the human condition.
