Jezedekiel II is Deus's second prophet, and the "II" suffix is honorary; i.e. no one uses it. The first prophet was also named Jezedekiel. But we don't talk about him. Jezedekiel is called "Jed" by his friends, and Grey and Deus can't seem to stick to a correct spelling of his name; He's been called Jezedekiel, Jezidikiel, Jedezekiel, and pretty much any other spelling that produces a marginally similar-sounding word. Moving, forward, Jed was elected as Deus's prophet shortly following the Hendecember Purge and acted as His eyes, ears, and voice on the Argo. That is, he was the Argonaut gifted with direct communion with his patron god; an ability that became increasingly uncommon after the Hendecember Purge. However, in an act of unbridled bravery, he flung himself from Legacy's (Daedalus's winged steed) back once it became apparent that Legacy was beginning to fall from the sky. The rebel king then had him incarcerated, and, in his own grotesque "Purge", executed along with hundreds of others of Deus's and Grey's followers. Jed was a gentle, simple man and he has been sorely missed. May he rest in peace. (Btw I'm having a personal moment of silence for the next thirty seconds if any of my hundred's of followers would care to join in)
