Day 3! + Advice to BP Cleanse Drinkers
It’s my final day of the blueprint cleanse and I am SO ecstatic. Getting a little bit of withdrawals with the lack of caffeine but it’s a small issue worth suffering. Lost 1.5kg so far, much more than I wanted (I’m doing this for health), so I’ve been clocking in at least 20 minutes of strength training just to get the body working + keep the muscle mass going.
My skin’s evidently glowing so much more than it was 3 days ago and I can see improvement in my acne/skin conditions. I’ve been using the Indian healing clay mask as well, and it’s worked hand-in-hand with the cleanse to really get everything out. A 3-day juice cleanse can only do so much on the surface, and this clay face mask helps with the skin-deep issues.
Advice to anyone doing the blue print cleanse:
1. Start at least a month of regular juicing for 1 meal everyday. When I first did it (homemade) 2 years ago, it was a constant struggle because I just couldn’t take the taste, I didn’t know what to expect or how my body would react, or even how the proportions work with fruits during juicing. As a regular juicer, you’ll be able to slip into the cleanse with ease. I’ve been juicing for about 1.5 years now – so this was much better than my first cleanse, as I’ve already grown accustomed to the various juice tastes.
2. If you’re feeling too cold by the juices, combat it with hot drinks. It’s a very small detail in the cleanse, but hot teas or lemon water help more than you think. It puts your stomach at ease.
3. Don’t go to hard on yourself! If you feel like munching on something, freeze some grapes or mangoes for an added crunch. Just be sure to chew them as much as you can, so that your stomach still gets as much rest. Some would disagree with this, but I find that a little bit of compromise (especially for people who are still working/carrying out their regular activities) will help to keep you going. I use these fruits as a reward halfway through the day when I’m dead without caffeine and need a good boost before I go back to drinking.
