On Saturday it was time to head to the hottest venue I've ever been in for Pro Wrestling EVE's "EVE x The World"! This was my favourite show of the whole weekend and honestly probably one of my favourite shows I've ever been to. EVE crowds are always good, but the atmosphere here was off the charts. Despite the heat, the crowd was into literally everyone, and it felt like a lovely environment to be in.
Some great matches in there too! Hearing Queen Aminata's strikes up close was a real treat (ouch!! π¬), as was seeing Nyla win the title!! ...which made it 2 for 2 on shows I'd cried at. Seeing her draped in the trans flag and watching the crowd pound the mat in appreciation as we all chanted "you deserve it" gave me a bit of faith in wrestling fans again. And it felt especially powerful given the current climate. There's a lot of fucked up shit going on out there, but just for a moment, it was possible to forget about all that. And isn't that what wrestling's about at the end of the day?
Toni Storm is going to climb Bozilla like a tree.
