Quinn Mckenna: I've always enjoyed the idea that Quinn is also in some way neurodivergent. It's commonly said that for some cases of ADD/ADHD that a military routine really tickles the brain. I think much like we see in the movie, Quinn's personality would have made him the boisterous kid in the class with no ability to keep down. Maybe his looks and athleticism helped him maintain popularity, so he never pinged the radar for any type of assessment.

Donald Pierce: I do agree that Donald is closeted in some way. Plucking him fresh from the movie, I don't think he's too worried about how he projects his sexuality. In my opinion, that man will lay anything that breathes near him if given the opportunity. HOWEVER, I also think his intense machismo is a cover for his gender expression. While I don't believe Donald sits under the direct trans umbrella, his output of male expression screams to me that he's miserable in it. Maybe between hunts, he books a motel just to sneak on women's underwear.

Steve Murphy: When we were first watching Narcos, my husband raised the idea that Steve was secretly more devastated by the cat being killed than Connie. That became a little brainworm that straight faced Steve was trying to keep his composure looking for his cat, lying to Javier about Connie being distraught when really it was him beside himself. When they received the pictures of Puff (Canon name of the cat), Steve cried in the shower that night. It's a bit more of a silly one, but it truly sits in my brain like an unwanted guest.
