2, 8, and 17 for your Bowser ship if you want! :D -@droidkisser

Introduce your s/i as if they’re a canon part of the source
Gravesly is a recurring secondary antagonist in Mario Bros. He’s had numerous appearances across the franchise, including in Super Mario Odyssey, Paper Mario, and Mario Bros Wonder. He is Bowser’s highest-ranking royal knight; Stern, aloof, and loyal as a dog - but if you push him to losing his temper, you’ll suffer his fury at full mindless force. Gravesly never does anything in half measures.
A long time ago, Gravesly’s original goal was to serve Princess Peach. In an attempt to prove himself, he went off solo to rescue some reportedly missing Toads, and infiltrated Bowser’s castle. While there, he was accidentally caught in the crossfire of a spell meant to superpower a Chain Chomp - infusing Gravesly with the Chain Chomp’s essence instead. Gravesly returned to the Mushroom Kingdom, but his transformation frightened the Toads around him, and he soon fled from the kingdom once more.
What do your f/o and s/i’s friends and/or family think about their relationship?
Bowser Jr: Gravesly was already present in Junior’s life, albeit as a servant, so the slow shift in the dynamic between Graves and Junior’s papa was a little strange at first. But even though Gravesly’s not the most fun, he’s always looked out for Junior (and Bowser), and his pointy teeth and glowy swords are SUPER cool!! So it’s okay as long as Papa’s happy.
Kamek: Kamek gives Gravesly a wide berth in general, since he was the one who cast the spell that caused Gravesly’s little mishap. Personally, he thinks Bowser and Gravesly are just asking for trouble, but he’s not going to stick his nose into their business and risk making anyone mad at him.
(Honorable mention) Princess Peach: She’s glad that Gravesly was able to achieve his dreams, though it sucks that he had to join someone like Bowser to do so. It sometimes feels like a reminder of her larger regrets about Gravesly. But the two of them seem happy, so she can’t fault that too much. She’d rather focus on criticising them for the evil schemes they get up to.
What do you find difficult to come up with in regards to your selfship or s/i?
I used to struggle with finding a balance between BowGraves and Bowser’s very defining love for Peach. Like, it’s my sandbox and I can do whatever I want with it, including forgoing canon love interests if need be, but I wanted it to still be a thing, if that makes sense. Luckily I think I’ve figured it out, as you’ll see in posts like this.
