He drooled on the pillowcase, thighs trembling as your two fingers pushed deeper into his tight heat, stretching him open perfectly. A helpless mewl left him, the sound a mix of pleasure and disbelief. He couldnāt deny the ease your fingers brought on that mating urge he currently carried.
Parrot had figured that this would be useless. Apparently not, though? His floating mind couldnāt make sense of itā¦
In the background, you could tell with absolute certainty that his scent glands were opening up further, presenting, begging for a claiming bite. You didnāt even need to tell the lovebird hybrid. His instincts did all the work for you.
The needy, fresh, fruity scent of a person going through heat filled the roomās air, overtaking you entirely. It was two in the morning, almost three, but to you, the night still felt young. Hell, ānightā could go on ātill midday, and you wouldnāt notice. Or care, really. Nothing beats this.
Youād heard of different scents like strawberry and grapes. Parrotās was mangoes mixed with a bit of pineapple.
Perfect, your mind purred, fingers curling again at the thought. Parrot threw his head back and moaned.
He was perfect.
Fuck. You had to resist the urge to clamp down on his neck. Claim the pretty little thing while you had the chance. You wouldnāt dareā not in the state Parrot was in, where consent couldnāt really be made or givenā but, God, you wanted to.
Nothing that comes to Parrotās mind stays for too long. Your fingers make sure of that. The unbalanced waves of pleasure he feels, thanks to his cycle, make sure of that, too. The pleasure is making him short circuit in real time.
You could see the gears in his head slow to a stopā his eyes going unfocusedā legs spreading wider.
You weren't exactly a stranger to Parrot. In the sense that, hey, yeahā in a way, he knew what often went on in that dirty mind of yours. Thoughts that never ended, scenarios, words you wanted to sayā all of that. You were his best friend, and, sometimes, during the quiet the night brought, when you both had drank one too many drinks and leaned against each other in whatever poor room you both decided to occupy, you told him about it.
Soft; āDid you know?āās. Hushed giggles that turn into loyal promises of protection.
Your eyes lingered. They almost always did.
So, yeah. He knew you had a bit of a dirty, rotten mind.
But it was easy to ignore it with the War going onā how useful you were, via fighting. It was easy to ignore the heat that sometimes churned in his lower stomachā easy to ignore everything when the adrenaline and fear of a fight was present. Easy to ignore when the smell of blood, gunpowder and sweat filled his lungs.
That's the problem, Parrot figures, holding back another gasp. He let his guard down with youā with himself. He let his guard down and, therefore, didn't expect you to be soā¦
Forward.
Heat season had came and hit him like a slap to the face. It was abrupt and insistentā not to mention, really annoying.
The urge to go and melt. To build a nest. To let the urges of his animalistic side take holdā to keep him under its influence and never let go. Most importantly (and most distracting), the urge to mate was present. Overwhelmingly so.
The rational part of his mind always cut in when it got to that point. The need to win this fight against Cindercrest wasnāt something to be ignored. Not even for a second. Hell, Parrot barely even had soldiers to lead. Just what type of King was he, really?
So, he discarded the urges entirely. It wasnāt an option. Now of all times wasn't the moment to go and rub his thighs together in a nest made out of soft blankets, pillows, clothes from those he loved, and familiar items...
⦠As much as he wanted it to be.
Despite his resolve, however, the facts stayed the same. He was in heat, and had no real control over his natural instincts.
More than once had he been frozen in the long corridors in his castle, eyes hazy and scent out of control, affecting those even rooms away. More than once had he had a fainting spell mid meeting, his eyes rolling back and leaving him to hear just a sharp call of "Parrot?!" from his friends, right before passing out.
More than once had he locked eyes with you, his neck baring instinctively in the presence of someone heā¦
Someone he needed.
And, possibly, most definitely, acknowledgements like that is what led to now.
"I can help you with thisā help speed up the process," you had suggested, standing in his doorway at two in the morning, face determined and slightly flushed. Parrot avoided your gaze, embarrassed, connecting the pieces.
Had you heard his whines from down the hall?
"And," you added, hands outstretched in front of you in pleading, "before you say 'No', please just think about it. We can go at whatever pace you want, and I'll be gentle. I'm not offering just to get in your pantsā I swear. I know all of this has been bothering you since we still gotta do some more stuff to even stand a chance in this war. Yet, we canāt do anything without our King being sensible first. Let me help in the one way I can.ā
You needed to seal the deal. Slowly, your hand came forward, delicately lifting his chin and searching his brown eyes for permission. "Please, Parrot?"
Parrot paused. That toneā¦
He met your gaze. He immediately regretted it after.
⦠Damn your big, soft eyes.
You knew you had won when Parrot's cheeks flushed a cute red.
Thisā¦Ā wasnāt like he thought. The surrender of controlā the taking without giving, the pureĀ receivingĀ he did with nothingĀ neededĀ orĀ wantedĀ in return. That same spark in his heart rate was there, like before when you first tried suggesting thisā but it wasnāt bad. It was a good panic. Something not entirely like panic, but more likeā¦Ā excitement.
Then, he got bold. Gone was the previous doubt in his mind, gone was the thoughts that screamed at him about not having time for this--Ā that he had to focus onĀ planning,Ā the civil war,Ā and keeping everyoneĀ safe. He rocked his hips back just barely, whining as the spot was hit again. Shoot. It felt both likeĀ too muchĀ andĀ just enoughĀ at the same time, something he found himself getting increasingly addicted to.
He felt full⦠in aĀ goodĀ way. Seeing as you didnāt bat an eye at the sudden change in attitude (or, perhaps, the pause of denying himself what he wanted) or laugh at him for his unwarranted movement, he did it again; getting bolder and bolder by the second.
Your fingers didnāt slide out. Didnāt stop or even attempt to tease him in some cruel way. Noā they wentĀ deeper.
A sob of pleasure escaped him before he could even attempt to stop it. Then another, and a soft moan.
You cooed down at him, and in the mess of his blurry, teary eyes, he could barely make out your soft smile aimed at him, fondness radiating in your tone as you spoke to him.
āParrot.āĀ you said, saying his name in that tone, the silky and smooth one, that made the room seem to slow to a stop. His thoughts came and went just as fast as his heart beated. āDonāt hold back on those pretty reactions.ā
He hiccuped, trying to glare, back arching in pleasure all the while. His face heated up instantly. āShāShut,Ā shut up, bro,"Ā he groaned, something that broke into a sob at the end. Still trying to act.
His wings were fluttering, making soft, distant shuffling noises against the bed.
āSo fucking cute,ā you sighed, pressing a gentle kiss to his foreheadā one soĀ gentle and caring that it made him sob again and kick his legs out weakly. Those stupid, soft words you told him made his head so fuzzy, so distracted. Such a ridiculously large contrast to how heād thought this would go. He couldnāt tell whether the fluttering in his stomach was pure hatred or butterflies.Ā Ā
You spoke more of those sweet words, giggling a soft;Ā āGood boy.āĀ
Heād hate you after this. Be the worst, most unmanageable guy around and act all brattyā because, surely, youād reach your breaking point with him. Youād give up and go back to normalā the friend he knew and could ignore, not the one trying toĀ courtĀ him.
⦠He wasnāt convinced, though, that his behavior change would make a difference. You had been so kind this entire time, even with him acting indifferent to his body's needs.
Still, though. How didā how did any of these feelings he wanted to let wash over him excuse the negligence his kingdom was receiving? Did he deserve to feel this while his people were sufferingā both under the hand of Cindercrest, and his own?
His people were starving. Even as King, he seemed to make no difference.
Did he really deserve toā
āHey,ā you suddenly murmured, closer than before, snapping him out of his thoughts. Your eyebrows were furrowed in worry, the smallest of frowns on your lips as you studied him. He felt the urge to squirm under your gaze.
Your free hand came up, wiping away the previous tears of pleasure before grabbing his chin, not letting him look away. Your tone was caring and firm when you spoke, next. āDonāt⦠donāt worry. Not about anything. Stop thinking."
Once again, your fingers went deeper inside of him, arching against his walls and hitting that wonderful spot. As if trying to remind him what he was supposed to be focusing on. He choked on a breath, moan catching in his throat before retching free. Your hand let go of his chin, sliding down to rest on his hip.
āIāmĀ here, now. And youāre mine to take care of.ā
The possessiveness in your tone made him shiver. You shifted closer, lips mere inches away from his.
Maybe this isnāt too bad of a way to get this over with. His heat, he means. He doubted anything, currently, could come close to ābadā. Not with the way you paid extra special attention to everything about him. Each twitch, each yelp and each whineā especially the way he clenched around your fingers whenever you went that perfect, slow pace and hit deep inside of him.
Outside of this current experience, too. The way you kept utter focus on him, devotion strong in your eyes. You watched his back and had supported him right along with his other friendsā though,Ā yourĀ support had always felt a little different. He was never sure why.Ā
Now, though, he had a clue.
Before this, heād never dream of feeling such pleasure.Ā
But with you, it felt attainable in theĀ best way possible. Nothing to be left desiring for. Just⦠something to await. Heād get it soon, and you never disappointed.Ā Wasnāt that amazing? Having nothing to fear.
āYouā You're the only person in that group, Parrot. You're the only person who's delusional enoughā"
Too much thinking, he agreed, pushing that old memory aside, leaning in the rest of the small distance between you both and connecting his lips with yours, eyes shutting in bliss. Heād listen to you and stop thinking entirely. Be obedient and hear some more of those sweet nothings in returnā because with the way you gazed at him so sweetly, it seemed almost guaranteed.
You were not going to punish him for accepting this pleasant moment.
He was safe. He had you to lean on, after all.
