Boxwood Hall State Historic Site, Elizabeth, #NewJersey. Built circa 1750 by Samuel Woodruff, it was later owned by Elias #Boudinot (president of the Continental Congress) who lived here with his wife Hannah Stockton Boudinot and their two daughters beginning is 1772. They also offered shelter to the teen aged Alexander Hamilton who was studying at the Elizabethtown Academy. Congressman Jonathan #Dayton (he was the youngest person to sign the United States Constitution) and his wife Susan, son Elias Jonathan and daughter Hannah moved into the house in 1795.
