Robert is a quiet guy. He can keep up with banter and throw in a snarky quip or two, but he's not flashy in any regard. He's normally extremely competent and focused (at least at work) that it's rare for him to get flustered. Maybe that's why so many people are quick to put him in a position where he loses that cool. There's something fun about it, and I get that, but when it comes to the bedroom, I think that he likes being the one in control. Being the dom in bed gives him the same kind of feeling that he gets when he's fighting villains and being a hero, dominating others for the sake of the greater good (his and his partner's pleasure in this case).

Now a pompous asshole like Flambae?

Sure, I'd believe he's a top 90% of the time. He's got the ego, the build, the big swingin dick, but with Robert? The guy who's a hero that he's recognized on multiple occasions without realizing that he was talking about Robert? If he doesn't know Robert's Mechaman, I could see him going for his usual routine of trying to top maybe, but Robert's cool and serious composure compared to Flambae's fiery, gloating attitude makes it so easy for Robert to dominate him mentally. Even physically to an extent too. Sure, Flambae is 100% stronger, but he also underestimates Robert and what he's capable of constantly due to his lack of powers and being a simple normie who he thinks washed out of the hero biz and copped out by becoming a dispatcher.

Now add the knowledge of Robert being a real, respectable hero, and any sense of superiority Flambae has goes out the window. Who the hell is he to talk about hero shit when he's talking to a real hero with a real legacy? He won't admit any of it obviously, he still has his pride, but just think about how shot his ego is in comparison to Robert being so cool and collected (on the surface), even when he doesn't have his suit or his superhero legacy to carry him. Even as a simple dispatcher, he's consistent, capable, and handles bullshit with a solid attitude, while Flambae blows his top all the time. At least once a chapter in the entire game does he get pissed off at somebody (pretty much always Robert/Mechaman).

So you have one guy who's able to appear calm, cool, and steady, and another guy who is a literal hothead. In my mind, I find it so odd to imagine the hothead being the dominant one in bed because it makes so much sense for his character to give into his weakness in that safe space, especially with someone who has time and time again proven that he cares about his team and his heroes and also reminds Flambae how much more capable he is in so many regards. It would piss Flambae off so much, but that's also the charm that keeps bringing him back to it, even if it's a hate fuck.
