Old Sacramento remains one of the largest grouping of gold rush era buildings in California. The historic Schroth building on Second Street is one of the few original brick buildings that is still standing from the 1800s. The side of the building used to display an original undisturbed Boss of the Road overalls advertising mural. It was the first thing that caught your eye when you drove into the town.
