Coming out of the north of London, Olivia Dean has been bragging with her musical talent since 2018. Her first Single 'Reason To Stay' provoked the music industry, that was filled with Trap and R&B at that time. With it's soft pop, jazz influenced melody, combined with analytic lyrics that begged the question of how far ahead of her time she was.

Moving into the year of 2026, Dean has already sold out the The Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith multiple times and is bound to play 4 sold out shows in the O2 Arena in London this year.

What originally drew me towards her wasn't necessarily what made me love her as an artist.

Being someone who loves to explore and find new music, I've found out about Olivia Dean back in 2024 after having found a video of her at a festival through social media. 'Dive' was one of my favourite songs of that summer and the whole album 'Messy' has grown into an all time favourite in my personal list.

Though it was only through her sudden boost to stardom thanks to her latest record 'The Art Of Loving' that I started noticing the person behind the honey-dripping voice and infectious melodies. Hoarding interviews, live performances and pictures on Pinterest and Instagram, acceptance speeches and other people's opinions, one thing cam clear pretty fast. Her music is a mirror to her personality. Playful, fun and so beautiful you cannot ignore her.

Looking at Olivia Dean will make you feel like you're looking at a flower field blooming in the middle of spring. The contempt of peace won't slip any further when she starts to introduce herself. She's sunshine encapsulated in a soul of joy. Her caring personality cannot only be seen in her songs but also in the way she treats her fans and their experience with live music, having called out Ticketmaster for reselling tickets to her show for a way higher price than agreed on at the end of last year.

She moves her crowds with an ease without having to ask for their attention, she isn't keen on having everyone watch her but nobody can look away when noticing her. A soul so bright and talented that it makes you want to dance on beaches under the sun, walk through foreign streets of big, summer cities with the people with you love.

She's the nostalgia for the last summer and the excitement for what is to come. She's the quiet chirp of birds early in the morning and the quiet of late nights with the moon. She's a hot cup of tea and a shared coffee break. She's the catching up in a conversation after not having talked for a bit. She's the hand that holds out for you.
