hmm how about store shifter au? i love that one :D
"if you're not going to buy anything, put that camera away and get out."
idk i feel that fits wil tryna be sneaky in dre's store, not sure if that's what you were looking for but that's the first thing that came to mind,,,
ok but i actually love this so much-
youโre absolutely correct this fits their dynamic perfectly, this is exactly what I was looking for
***
โSo there isnโt anything illegal going on in this store?โ Wilbur asked, an old handheld camera pressed uncomfortably into Dreamโs face as he was trying to close up shop. Good god, he only had 15 minutes till the store closed. Why did Wil have to come in now?
It definitely didnโt help that Quackity had chosen to come and talk to Dream at the checkout counter moments before Wil came in, and was now pressed uncomfortably against the bottom of the desk since Dreamโs first reaction was just to grab and hide him as soon as heโd seen a camera.
โFor the last time, no. Youโre not gonna find a reason to arrest me, now please leave me alone.โ โWhat aboutโฆthose!โ He pointed at the pharmacy corner, looking at Dream like he had somehow won. Dream just sighed and rubbed his temples. โThatโs for prescription meds, Ponk is licensed to sell those. Now please-โ
Dreamโs saving grace was the door ringing, signaling that someone had come into the store, Tommy walking in holding his uniform from Wilburโs store.
โAh, Tommy!โ Wil yelled, rushing over and slinging an arm around the blonde, camera still pointed at Dreamโs face. โPerhaps you could shed some light on this situation. To your knowledge, has your..your guardian,โ he said, as if it hurt him acknowledge Dreamโs connection to his favorite employee, โcommitted any atrocities in this store?โ
Tommy hummed as Dream simply slumped over the checkout counter, waiting for whatever lie Tommy was gonna say. He knew Tommy, he wouldnโt miss an opportunity to mess with the both of them. He did, however, take that opportunity to quickly and discreetly shove Quackity into his shirt pocket, only hearing a yelp in response and a quick whisper of โassholeโ directed at him. To be fair, he wasnโt great at handling tiny people yet, he could have moved Quackity a bit more gently. But in his defense, he didnโt exactly want Tommyโs deranged boss to see him. He wasnโt sure if Tommy had seen him or not, but he wasnโt really worried about that. Sapnap would probably have told his fiancรฉs that Dream had a kid who was a shifter. Right?
โIโd say thereโve been a few war crimes.โ Tommy apparently decides on, nodding his head with a stupid smirk. โA few violations of the Geneva Convention. Owning exotic animals without a license. Did you know we have an entire room of Hedgehogs in the back? Did you know Hedgehogs were illegal to own without a license?โ Tommy lies, trying not to laugh. Wilbur didnโt even seem to process it, staring at Dream like he had just won the lottery.
โHa! Your own son testifies against you! What do you have to say to that?โ Wilbur asked, crossing his arms and smiling smugly. Dream sucked in a deep breath as he closed the distance between himself and Wilbur. โI think if youโre not going to buy anything, put that camera away and get out.โ
โBut-โ Wilbur didnโt have a chance to finish before Dream was physically pushing him out of the store. โNope, donโt care, out!โ He yelled over Wilburโs protests. Tommy laughed loudly in the background as Wilbur was pushed out the door and locked it behind him. He swore he could even hear Quackity laughing slightly as he flipped the sign on the door to โclosedโ and Wilbur banged indignantly on the door.
Dream ignored him and quickly headed back to the break room, Tommy following shortly behind. Tommy flopped himself down on the beanbag as soon as they entered and Dream locked the door behind them.
โYโknow the only reason I havenโt gotten a restraining order against him is because you seem to like him.โ Dream said, taking his apron off. Tommy shrugged. โWhat can I say, heโs entertaining. โS your friend ok?โ He asked, pointing at Dreamโs shirt. Ah, so he did see.
Dream pulled on the opening of his shirt pocket. โYou doin ok in there, Big Q?โ โFuck off, man.โ He responded, only lifting a hand to flip him out from in the pocket. โYou gave me a migraine flinging me around like that, you bitch.โ He complained, though there wasnโt any real anger in his voice. Dream laughed. โSorry, sorry, I panicked. You gonna be alright?โ โYeah, yeah. That your kid out there?โ He asked, finally sticking his head out of the pocket to look at Tommy, who had been playing on his phone and hadnโt been listening to any of that, apparently.
โYeah, thatโs him. Sapnap tell you about him?โ โYup. You two should spend the night sometime, he seems fun. Put you through the ringer with that other guy.โ Quackity laughed as Dream scoffed. โTell me about it. Wilburโs a bitch.โ โโฆis he a single bitch?โ โIm not gonna answer that. Plus, arenโt you engaged?โ โHey, weโre open.โ Quackity responded, smirking. Dream shuddered. โDonโt even think about it.โ He responded, lifting Quackity out of the pocket and setting him on the roomโs counter and grabbing his box of small clothes from his cubby, holding them up so Quackity could see them. โYou mind if I take you up on that offer? Iโm sure Tom has his backup clothes.โ Quackity smiled. โNot at all. Iโll go let Sapnap and Karl know youโre coming, if you donโt mind giving me a hand.โ Quackity said, standing up and pointing to the roomโs higher vent. Dream obliged and laid down a hand for Quackity, letting him step on as he lifted him up to the vent.
Quackity headed back to his home as Dream grabbed a blanket from the break room communal closet and threw it over Tommyโs head, the teenager responding with an indignant shriek as Dream laughed. โKeep that over your head for a minute, I need to change.โ Tommy huffed as Dream shrunk and changed into his separate borrower outfit, kicking Tommy in the ankle to signal that he was done. Tommy yanked the blanket off his head to look down at Dream, confusion clear on his face. โGet changed and shrink, Sapnapโs fiancรฉs want to meet you.โ Dream said, climbing up beanbag to end up on Tommyโs knee. His son beamed. โFuck yeah, sleepover!โ
Thought: Karl is a human, and he has two borrowers living in his house named Quackity and Sapnap.
Karl caught them both, once, but he wasn't cruel and didn't treat them as lesser, he was just very surprised and very nice to them.
They're very close friends, now, but poor Karl has memory problems.
Every so often he'll forget that Big Q and Sap exist, so when the two borrowers wander out to hang with him, he'll catch them with a gentle hand and just be very amazed and astounded at these "new" tiny people he's just met.
Sapnap and Quackity find it hilarious, and kinda endearing, but sometimes it gets a little annoying, re-explaining to this giant human that yes, they're friends, and yes, he's done this before, and if Karl gets discouraged by the fact that he's forgotten that the two borrowers exist, Sap and Q will tell him that it's cute, and then he'll get all flustered.
Awww no am sorry to about that! I would've love to see it :(
oOoOO en serio?? ๐ I'd honestly love some more Hermandad obscura, maybe the g!brotherhood deciding what to do w tiny Quackity (or who will get to nom him sksksk) lotsa angst! :D
Or if we feeling fluffy, t!Vegetta and g!Rubius having a canon typical silly argument, so basically this;
(but g/t and Vegetta ends up grounded XD)
Btw you can request some Karmaland as well! :] I never get to write them and I'd love to (just know I didn't watch much of 4 and I mostly know the main guys of 5)
I'm finally answering this!! I'm sorry it took so long! D:
I decided to go with the first option, although, in this first part, from the dark brotherhood, only Rubius appears. The rest will appear in a future, anyways, hope you enjoy :]
It had been a few weeks since Rubius suspected something was lurking around his house. He thought it could be a carnivorous or omnivorous animal, since it apparently liked to eat pieces of his meat.
He usually woke up with various wounds on his hands, ears, or neck, and although he wasn't particularly interested in knowing what this creature was, it bothered him to have to constantly use a regeneration potion.
And one day, the straw that broke the camel's back fell. He was not going to forgive him for this.
The fucking creature had torn up the photo of his deceased 8 year old son, Brayan! Rubius began to place quite a few traps around the house. He would catch that creature without hesitation.
Once he placed them all, he put on his dark brotherhood outfit and left the house. He had to work, he would be able to see if the creature had fallen into any of the traps when he returned.
//
Quackity slowly came out of hiding once the 'human' left the house. The little duck-hybrid Borrower carefully walked around to confirm that the 'human' was gone.
Once he was able to confirm that the bear was gone and wouldn't be back for a few hours, he began "borrowing," collecting some things he needed.
It didn't take him long to get everything, but when he was going to go back, he couldn't move. Quackity should have watched where he was stepping on...
He looked down in horror, seeing that both of his feet were caught in a glue trap. He used both hands to help his legs to try to get his feet out of the glue as soon as possible.
It would be really bad if the 'human' found him, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get away from the trap. He even thought about removing his feet from the slippers, but good luck was not on his side as the trap was so deep that it had stuck up to his shins.
He continued trying to get away, not realizing that a few hours had already passed, which meant that... The main door opened and in a few seconds it closed again. Footsteps approached towards the place where he was trapped.
He looked up, his eyes widening in fear, staring in terror at the black mask with a completely white smile and bright, scary red eyes. The 'human' was back.
//
Rubius let out a sigh as he finally returned to his house. He opened the door and without removing his mask or suit yet, he entered, closing the door once inside. He headed to his room, the place where he set one of the many glue traps, although he didn't think he had caught the creature.
However, he was quite surprised when he saw that something actually fell into the trap. A large smile formed behind his mask, as he stepped closer to the creature.
"Well well, what do we have here, huh? The disgusting creature that ate pieces of my flesh and tore up my son's photo, has turned out to be an insignificant borrower..." he said, still smiling behind the mask, while his hand grabbed the borrower and pulled him out of the trap, not caring at all that he was harming him.
The borrower squirms trying to get out of Rubius's grasp. The bear hybrid let out a laugh, bringing the borrower closer to his face. โSquirming is not going to help you at all, you are wasting your energy.โ
Rubius thought for a few minutes about what he should do with the little duck hybrid. Soon, an idea crossed his mind, the smile he had behind the mask, widening. He lifted his mask slightly, just enough so that his mouth was visible.
"You know? I have an idea about what to do with you.โ The borrower continued to squirm in fear. โSince you have eaten pieces of meat from my hands and ears, I will do you the same favor.โ
The duck hybrid froze, terrified. Rubius brought him closer to his mouth as it opened, showing his sharp, completely white teeth. The bear hybrid put one of Borrower's small legs in his mouth, closing it around the leg. He licked it for a moment before biting the leg hard.
The borrower let out a cry of pain when Rubius bit his leg, now moving him away from his mouth and placing him on the table for a few seconds while he chewed the leg inside his mouth, he did not want the borrower's blood to stain the floor.
Once he was satisfied, he swallowed, humming lightly. "You're tastier than I expected... We should do this more often." The duck hybrid looked at him terrified, while Rubius picked him up again.
The bear hybrid simply popped him into his mouth, sucking on the small body for a few seconds before swallowing it whole.
Rubius let out a sigh of satisfaction as he felt the borrower enter his second stomach. He took a regeneration potion and once he was sure it had taken effect, he took a healing potion. He wasn't going to let the little duck die just yet.

hi! i'm new to the dsmp g/t fandom and you popped up in the tag with your post about a karlnapity au where karl has memory problems! i think the opportunities for this idea are endless and it's a pretty open-ended premise. i have a question! do you think that with all these memory problems, it would bring up different scenarios, all on varying ends of the fluff-and-angst spectrum? for example, one time when karl forgets about sapnap and quackity, he's shy because he thinks that for creatures so small, they'd obviously fear him? or maybe another time he has a brief flash of ill intentions towards the two? i just think that it would be like meeting a hundred different personalities of karl and that's a very fulfilling thought! can't wait to find more of your content, you seem awesome! i hope you have a nice day :)
Holy cow this is a lot.
Oh and hi! Thank you!
Anyway, I hadn't thought about that! It does bring up an interesting question though, like, what if Karl was in a bad mood one day, and then found them? I imagine nothing particularly bad would happen, (cause if I'm in a bad mood I'm not gonna hurt a random animal that I find, even if it's not a normal animal) but he might be more inclined to ignore them, maybe???
And then poor Quackity and Sapnap are just concerned, cause their friend isn't feeling okay, doesn't seem to remember them, and is actively trying to avoid them!
Or, we could go the angst route and, if Karl's feeling bad enough, I imagine he would get mad enough at the two borrowers to either yell at them to go away, feint an attack to scare them off, or just grab them and drop them somewhere, away from him. The height would vary, if he's careless enough to actually toss them away across the room (at the best, bruises for port Sap and Big Q, at the worst, broken bones and maybe a concussion) or just drop them on the couch opposite of him so that they stop trying to climb into his lap.
The repercussions of this would be that Q and Sap would be more wary about approaching Karl anytime he seems to not know that they exist, because that probably means that he forgot them again. They'd probably watch him a bit, to gauge his mood before coming out to say hello.
On the fluff spectrum, bridging on the shyness, I can imagine Karl backing up from Sap and Q anytime they tried to approach him. Like, they want to tell him something so they climb onto the couch next to the human's legs, but Karl is either so startled by the sudden appearance of what seems to be two tiny humans that he either freezes, or jumps off of the couch entirely cause he doesn't want to accidentally hurt them or knock them over.
Or, he'd very, very gently brush a finger up against their sides or backs, shocked that such tiny creatures would approach him with what seemed to be no caution or wariness at all. He'd be even more astounded when they both clambered into his palm and sprawled out like they owned it. He'd be awed by the tiny little movements that he could barely feel fluttering against his skin, each and every time.
For Sapnap and Quackity, well, it's a little frustrating and kinda heartbreaking for them that, no matter how hard they tried, they just never stuck in Karl's mind. They knew that it wasn't his fault, there was just something not right with his brain, but it still hurt. Were that really that inconsequential...?
On the other hand, they get to experience their first meeting, over and over and over again, so there's that, at least.
