GOJIRA aka @gojiraofficial has steadily become a TOP 5 FAVORITE METAL BAND OF ALL TIME for me, and their latest album: FORTITUDE, released a week ago TODAY, has only solidified that opinion. When it's all said done, and after at least 7 listens of the album from start to finish, GOJIRA'S 7th album may rank as one of their best. If you're looking for the non-stop death metal brutality of #FromMarsToSirius and #LefantSauvage, this LP is not that.... #Fortitude is instead, EVERYTHING this French metal band are capable of from progressive metal, stoner rock, melodic extreme metal & death metal, being masterfully executed from start to finish. Add the lyrical themes that range from environmental awareness to righteous rebellion, and you have a brilliant recording for heavy metal enthusiasts to thoroughly enjoy.... and a "lifesaver" of a soundtrack to inspire me personally to stay in the fight.
