"I need NCS (scantron) forms for class... but why go all the way out there and NOT look for toys in two different cities?"
"Sounds good self, let's do this!"
And so I did. While I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, I still found some neat stuff anyway.
I had kind of wanted either Wasp or Borg from this wave of NECA Predators, wanting one to fill the gap left when I stupidly left the two Big Reds I found whenever those came out, on the shelf. For $18, he's not bad. If it was any more, I'd be disappointed. The only real flaws are his elbows are hindered by the wiring on his gauntlets, and his plasma caster doesn't stay on very tight. Otherwise he has a lot of really nice articulation, accessories, paint and of course sculpting, which I think is this figure's strong suit. He looks fucking awesome, for sure.
I REALLY wanted to find Black Cat and Carnage today. While I did get some hope in that one of the local Targets restocked yesterday, (or Monday? I would think if it was Monday these two would have been gone too) I came up completely empty on the Generations Deluxes. Dishwashingdetergentface McTentaclefingers is alright, and he has good articulation. I like that he has an alternate head and regular fists, too. Kamen Rider Beetle is also nice, and I like him even more than the fourth member of the Blue Man Group. He has nice big feet so he can get some good actiony poses. His paint is nice, and he can even look all the way up like he's flying. Rad.
And then when I thought I was going to come up empty at the last place I went, I found the Mind Seize Commander deck. I don't play MtG anymore. But, I know this bad boy is rare as heck. Call me a filthy jerk for buying it for perhaps less than "honorable" purposes, but do yourself a favor and look up "True Name Nemesis" on eBay. And just know I paid $32 (including tax) for this.
