Oh THIS fucker, THIS MOTHER FUCKER...

Well, he’s one of my most popular Creepypasta characters, from the story BooTube, the Horrible Horrible Puppet Host, who is like the Cryptkeeper; but with snuff films featuring monsters as the killers. What a douchebag.

Fittingly, I did his story because out of several ideas I asked a writer about, this was the one he liked the most. Said writer later revealed himself to be a reactionary douchebag, which is why I’ll not be doing any of his classics like Abdicated By Warner or Antecedenthumanity.

[Ditto for another writer who, while very good, thanks to her snobbery and respectability politics-policing is very much croaked to me, but I digress]

Anyhoo, this went on to be my most popular Pasta, partially thanks to a reading by @creepsmcpasta, but I’d also attribute it partially to how simple the concept is, and yet how different it is.

Everybody into horror knows about the Cryptkeeper, some might even know of other horror hosts like Zacherle or Elvira or the ones from the old 50s comics, and cursed media’s been a staple of pastas for years.

But, the combination of both seems to work well, both because it gives a personality to the horror, and the one-way (Well, for the most part) view of the video medium still leaves them shrouded in mystery

Speaking of which, I do have a good idea of his personality, even if his origin is unfathomable. He is a bitter creature, as contemptuous of “normal people” as he is gleeful at making them spill their guts, gleeful about transgression as he is furious at people trying to stop his transgression. Imagine your average 4chan user combined with Castlevania’s Dracula (along with the obvious), and you’ll get a good idea.

He also sounds a lot like Chris Latta, so if you want to get a good idea of what he sounds like watch this.

I did give him a connection to a smaller one-off pasta, Hyper-Realistic Blood, but you may be seeing him again very soon...
