Why does Shadow call Aurora "Light"?
Shadow first meets Aurora when she travels back in time and to protect her identity, she goes by the alias "Light," so that's what he knows her as. He continues to call her that even when they meet "again" in the future and he learns her real identity.
But Aurora only uses the alias "Light" when she goes to the past because that's Shadow's nickname for her.
(It's the Bootstrap Paradox)
River Song
Genuinely have to say, River is REMARKABLY well-adjusted considering literally everything about her life: kidnapped as a literal baby; raised as an assassin and orphan (but then she meets her parents as children, so they kind of raised her with morals by proximity?); finally meets her mark, the man she's literally been raised to kill, and makes the attempt only to then save his life by giving up all of the rest of hers; falls in love with him but never knows how much he'll know her when they meet, or if he'll even know they're together or married; never truly feels as though he loves her back; loses her parents because they chose to stay with said man; immediately after feeling unloved spends 24 years in marital bliss with him; then the next time she sees him he has absolutely no idea who she is at all, not even the faintest inkling, and subsequently realises he has known when, where, how, and why she's going to die for the ENTIRETY of them knowing each other, let alone their relationship.
And somehow she was one of the sanest people on the show (she gets it from Rory, definitely not from Amy).
Also she technically set Amy and Rory up aka her parents?? I love time travel stories fr.
i believe that bootstrap paradoxes / stable time loops are inherently religious. if something exists as an effect without cause, if something has been there because it has always been there, if any surrounding events would shift around it to accomodate its always-being-there, if something sprung into existence out of the void because it always had to have sprung into existence, if something exists for no reason and with no apparent explanation once you begin to unravel the chain of events that supposedly lead to its arrival, then that something can be understood as none other than the work of God. God the writer; God that inserts a self-balancing perpetual motion engine into the narrative to resolve a plot hole. a bridge strung over the chasm of impossibility. it came to be because God-the-author decreed it so. because without it the story would grind to a halt, and that's the sound of the universe collapsing
nobody tell the doctor. they'd never get over it.

bootstrap paradox where she goes back in time to give her past self some insane strap game and then that causes her to become obsessed with the way of the strap. thus creating a causal loop from itself.
&grinding on her boots as well. thats why its called bootstrap paradox
Which thing is better?
Bootstrap paradox

One predestination paradox theory (feat. Pencil)
I have been thinking about something. Did One create a predestination paradox with Pencil???? Because it kind of looks like that, hear me out. (Also I think it's kind of obvious but I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet so I decided to. I don't even know if this counts as a theory, it seems to be actually cannon straight up, but it could always be confirmed to not be the case so that's why I called it a theory) this could also be the bootstrap paradox, they're kind of similar so idk which one would fit better honestly. But first:
If you guys don't know a Predestination Paradox refers to a phenomenon in which a person traveling back in time become part of past events, and may even have caused the initial event that caused that person to travel back in time in the first place
