((I shouldn't sleep directly after Streams, bc y'all were in my dreams last night?? LIKE for no apparent reason Soundy, CC, and I were playing with Pokemon cards and then we napped??
And despite the fact that we were -apparently- in Canada, somehow when we woke up Boom and my mom brought us cookies. The End.))

((Me and Boom have literally been talking about this for like 2 hours or so and we cannot think of any POSSIBLE way that Iacon and Altwave would work out. Like. They could conceivably get together and fall in love, but it'd never last because no one would support their relationship.
Out of all of the ~80 Soundwaves in the multiverse, you had to want the one that irreparably scarred Boom, didn't you? Even tho that Soundwave feels guilty about it now, well, it doesn't change what he'd done.. or the fact that Boom is way too damn scared of him.
Among numerous other issues regarding Gospel, Nocturne, and likely his own deployers.
So it'd either be them or Soundwave, and shit. Everything hurts, ok.))
The Prime could not look the red andyellow mech in the optic. He did notwish to keep him in the dark but… ”I am only doing what I think is best for you all.”He said it in that tone of his, that tonewhich had hints of hesitance in it, butalso begged for understanding andtrust.

((Backdated threads will continue as normal, however.. timeline be damned, I think this has gone on long enough))
It was time. He... there were things to do now. Soundwave already saw to Iacon and his minicons—his beloved deployers—but he'd needed more time to see this one. To see Boom. No, not Boom, Blaster. Soundwave remembered him boarding the Nemesis so distraught at his disappearance that it was almost physically painful to watch. Perhaps they had grown close, but it was still surprising to the spymaster to see someone other than his deployers upset on his behalf. With that in mind, he needed the extra evening to try and collect himself.
There was no doubt that the spymaster wanted to see his friend, but he was still in a state of.. perhaps he was just being silly. Nervous. Never thought anyone would have to use that word to describe him, however it was just that. The shadowzone had rattled him on so many levels that he almost worried Blaster wouldn't be there if he looked. But he needed to look. He needed to look right now, and so help him, Soundwave pulled up a bridge.
Iacon had sworn not to say anything of his success; it was important that Soundwave do this on his own terms, and it was strange to think he was in his former rival's debt. Shockwave was not the one who saved him, as he had first thought; it was Blaster.
Stepping through the bridge—a shadow following behind swiftly, dispersing as soon as they touched the Nemesis—Soundwave was sure he was breaking a few rules of the alternate Megatron's, but he didn't truly care. Frazzled, and certainly lonely, the flier took little time in finding his quarry. After all, this Nemesis was no different than the one he knew, not really, and there were only so many places Blaster could be.
Hastily pinging him as he entered the room, Soundwave didn't get any points for grace or composure, barely giving Blaster enough time to register the hail as the bluish figure draped itself around him. He was home. He missed you. He wasn't letting go.
So, Unicron, huh? Funny, that wasn't in the brochure. Thought finally getting back to Cybertron was going to be relaxing at least for a little while. Oh, Blaster was wrong, forced off of the ship and to do Primus knew what. Hide from zombie Predacons? Well, that was about what he had to do; forgive his cowardice, but if any one of Soundwave's deployers got hurt on his watch, he was pretty sure it'd be his neck.. even if he was the one to save him. Oi.
Speakin' of, that wasn't gonna exactly be a walk in the park, either. After Unicron and the whole disbandment thing with the 'cons, Blaster still had to find Soundwave. The spymaster definitely wasn't on the ship anymore, and as if it could only be that easy! He coulda been anywhere, and without a real way to communicate with him.. oh this was fun. It was a challenge, anyway; Blaster was still deliberating on the sarcastic fun part.
If he were a dark, lurking spymaster where would he be? Well, he wasn't anywhere near the bots, that was for sure. Twas the first place Blaster tried to open a bridge—bridges. Plural. So, unless the carrier had the worst timing in the world, he felt assured that Soundwave really wasn't nearby. But where else? …say, where did Shockwave go, anyway? After they took care of Unicron, that singularly optic'd mech split real fast.
Weren't he and Soundwave friends?
Another mech hunt, and Blaster was sure it would give him a bigger processor ache. Still, it was the only lead he really had, and—and they had a list of Shockwave's laboratories on Cybertron. Right, how could he forget so quickly?
And before someone could ask 'which one', he was gonna say all of them. All of them, and he was gonna go through each of them individually til somethin' clicked. Or, rather, til the bridge cataloged someone exiting itself. Sure, it wasn't the most time-efficient plan and he'd have to hope this tech was reliable, but it was better than nothing, baby.
Better than nothing, and it was too bad Blaster couldn't personally greet the mecha. Oh, he would—hypothetically—but he liked not being in the brig, thanks. As such, the mech had to open the bridges remotely, making sure not to cross the streams again, lest he simply make things way more complicated than they already were. This was enough of a grievous breach of protocol as it was, and a real trick to get to work right.
So it went, hopin' and dreamin' that Soundwave would take the hint should he be anywhere near those swirly green portals. Hoping, because Blaster still couldn't be for sure that this plan was going to go smoothly. Very few things those days did.
Yet, far too many failure-filled days later, his instruments marked movement through the two apertures. It was enough of a shock to make the jet nearly fall out of his chair, staring gobsmacked at the readings. Oh please, Primus, let this be over. He was beggin' ya. Literally begging you under his breath that his console hadn't suddenly bugged out from overexertion or that this was all a dream. It would only be his luck, and the bridges shut after the blip passed into the outside realm.
Manically, Blaster righted himself, using the Nemesis' tracking systems as a means of confirmation. If there was one mech Blaster knew by Spark it'd be him and there was no way he couldn't get them to lock onto that stupid, unidentified but beautiful blip. Unidentified it didn't remain for long, Soundwave's name popping up on the monitor, faint but readable... right next to a blip that looked an awful lot like Shockwave. Huh, so he wasn't alone; that was good. Meant that Blaster wouldn't have to worry about him too much. The other would come find him—his deployers—in his own time.
With that mention, Rumble stirred in his docks. The minicon didn't need to use the ship to know what had just happened at all; the instant that blip appeared, the little thing could feel it. Something happened. Something far more important than that third nap he'd taken that day. Something more important than sulking and being miserable.
Soundwave was alive. Didn't know how or why, but he was out. Maybe he wasn't nearby, but regardless the blue twin immediately requested out to go find his brother. Rumble needed a lil' confirmation of another kind. Obliging, Blaster wasn't so sure he'd ever seen the minicon move so fast, watching him scurry off while the carrier sunk into his chair again.
“I don't get paid enough for this slag,” Blaster mumbled tiredly, bringing up his alternate's number, albeit quickly doing away with it again. He wanted to share how he kept his promise, but damn.. think maybe he should at least wait and give Soundwave a chance for those honours. Or Rumble, or someone who was actually Boom's friend. One way or another, Boom would know pretty quickly.
